So, to be kind to my mother this year I have actually come up with a shopping list of items she can get me for my birthday. This makes her happy, and I enjoy keeping my mom happy. She did only give birth to me afterall.

Anyways, Items #3 and 4 on the list are Snowboarding Outwear items in particular a pair of Pinstripe Pants, and a Pinstripe Jacket. So, help me, help my mom by figuring out who makes that sorta **** with good waterproofing and breathability.

That'd be fantastic.

Look for at least 20k/20k on waterproof and breathability or just go gore-tex. Burton, Volcom and Quiksilver all have nice products. I've also been very impressed by WESC and WhiteOut.

I adore my 686 stuff, and I also like Bonfire. Burton's outerwear doesn't fit me properly, and I have not been impressed with their overall quality. You might also look into Holden, as the people I know with their gear have been happy with it.

I know that last year, Sepia had some pinstriped stuff for men, and I've heard good things about their quality. However, I was turned off by the lace up jacket that they made for women last year, so I never have tried their stuff myself, so I can't vouch for their quality.

If you pigeonhole yourself into finding a specific style like "pinstripes" you're going to have a hard time. It's much easier to find the tech you want and THEN pick a style from what's available than to pick a style and hope it's available in 20K or something.

If you dont have anything against Special Blend or Four Square then check them out. I got some Four Square pinstripe pants that have at 25K and weren't too expensive either.

check out sierrasnowboard.com, they've got some pretty good deals on outerwear right now

I've actually got more then enough outerwear to last me several seasons at this point. The Pinstripe dealy is just something extra, and giving my mom something to shop for, that she knows I want is going to make her happy.

My mom's wierd. She's not happy with the fact that I insist her love and support is more then enough of a present for any occaision and wants to provide material goods. God bless her.

Four Square have a sick limited edition set of pants and jackets...its like a tartan print in blues and brown, sounds gross but looks great! Dont know how much it is but i think the waterproofin is pretty good. And also dont no if its already been out in the US or what?
