So i am currently in the market for a new jacket. Im looking for a well insultated jacket that wont crap out on me after a season... but im also on a tight budget.

I found this jacket for $150 and it looks like it checks out for what im looking for: http://www.transworldsnowboarding.com/snow/products/article/0,26719,1614368,00.html

I was wondering if anyone could give me some insight on the jacket or if you've had good or bad experiences with 686. The thing that troubles me is that it looks like it would tear or rip pretty easily, but im not sure. Any advice would be helpful

686 is good ****, but dont go for the stuff with low waterproofing.

Seriously though, just keep an eye on ebay, I got a northline jacket from a couple season ago that is 25K has an inner liner and is going to keep me warm as ****. They dont make these anymore I dont believe, the older 686 stuff is straight up the ****....... better than the new stuff with low specs

Oh and guess what I paid......................... $26 plus shipping

15k is a good number for waterproofing in most cases so you should be fine.
