New Era Hats

I am a big fan of hats. My hat collection is into the teens now, all Pittsburgh I might add.


So I been looking for a new hat like the past two months and I can't find any I like. They are all so tacky and just ugly. What happened to just the plain hats? Why must there be bling, rims, dog tags, guns, and every other riducalous symbol now?

Does anyone else hate all the new hats that are coming out?

Are you only looking at New Era hats? Because I just looked through some of the offerings on dogfunk, and while there are some hideous hats up, there are a good number of nice looking plain ones also.

I've seen a lot of normal ones, though most of them are just the plain color with a logo.

Check out Lids if you got one near you, or online. I ordered a Buckeyes hat from Lids online, and I must say its a kickass hat. I also am a hat whore.

i am deffinatly i hat whore no doubt. i even wear my fitted on the hill. But mine are all yankees. Right now i have 8 differnt yankees new era fitted hats. I have two of the on feild caps, one thats oakland colors, one thats pittsburg colors, one all white, one all black, one thats tan with the picture of NY state on it, and a white with aqua symbol. i have more but they are all dirty now so they are no good. The only hats i have that arent yankees are one neff and two technine hats.

yeah New Era hats are here to stay and you'll just have to get used to all the random crap they'll throw on them.


Man I just got my first one this summer cause I dont know how you guys can justify spending that DAM MUCH MONEY on headwear. At $35 a piece and you guys say you have what 8, somewhere in the teens even, do you know how much damn money you guys are spending?

Does anyone else hate how those damn Lid employee's constantly try to sell you that stain guard? I want to be like "No buddy, I don't want to see a demonstration for the 100th time. I want to get my f.uckin hat and get the hell outta here."

yeah I didnt get tricked into that but I was a sucker for the lids spray. The dude was like "smell your hat now" then he put in like two sprays and was like "now smell it" I was hooked cause I have long hair and I didnt want my hat smelling sweaty, plus it turned out to be a nice deodorizer after coming home from smoking

^ you should get this stuff called ozium. they sell them at advanced auto or stores of that type and they completely get rid of smells with only one spray.
Comes in handy for certain activities people like us take part in. its great for when your hot boxin and get pulled over, we sprayed a little of that and the cop didn't smell a thing and let us go.

alot of the hats out right now are wack! i too am a big fan of hats....especially New Era. i probably have like 30. what pisses me off is how much they cost! i remember when fitteds only cost $20! the wack adjustable hats were like $15-17 and for an extra $3-5 you could cop the fresh fitted!

i have all the best mets hats.....2 years ago i couldnt find anything good, now theres almost as much mets hats as yankees hats in lids here......and its a beautiful thing......my favorite is the one with the astronaut holding a boom box on the moon with a gold chain on, and a mets flag in the ground, ****s gully

^^ no i do agree the mets are alot better than the team they used to be. Ive just been a yankees fan for as long as i can remember. Just this is the first time ive seen a person not embarrased to wear a mets hat in a while.

My quest for a new hat brought me to a different mall and different lids this weekend. What did I find? More ugly hats.

They did have a nice redneck selection at this one though. Mossy Oak camo University of Pitt and WVU hats. New Era is turning to sh!t.

7 3/8 is perfect for me. im not much into the team sports thing but i love my dc new era. its one of the few that dont have ridiculous prints all over.
