Alright, I am looking for some helpful advice, stories, whatever you have that you think can help...

Here's the low down: There are 4 of us who are flying to Park City for MLK weekend in January... 4 Doods headin out there to Mormon Country to shred, all of us are Ice Coast vets, so we're excited as hell to see real snow.

Think I've got the airfare and hotel thing down, just looking for deeper insight... We party hard here in the nation's capital... very VERY hard. Where in PC or SLC can we go to get down?

Any and all advice from the three B's down to mountains and trails we have to hit are welcome.

Thanks!!

Peace - J

MLK weekend is going to be packed everywhere and everything. Its the biggest gaper / tourist weekend of the season.

I... would consider a different weekend.

Biggest aside from Sundance... when even the locals head for the hills. :)

I boarded at The Canyons, it was nice b/c no tourists but i guess according to people MLK is going to be packed anywhere so who knows. All i know in town you have to eat at this one italian resturant in the way back of town. best pasta/lasanga (sp) ever

ive been going to park city for the past couple years now cuz thats where my cousins live. During MLK weekend everything is going to be packed. Two years ago i arrived on MLK weekend and the mountains were crowded as hell and the next year i arrived on the last day of the sundance festival, the mountain crowd didnt change but the down was crowded. As for pc over all, if u get powder go to the canyons, otherwise id say stay at PCMR (park city mountain resort).

The main reason we are going for MLK weekend is it's the one rare time we are all able to take 5 days off. I am kind of looking for it to be crowded... rich old tourist guys hot daughters will be out to play. Thanks for the advice though, and keep it coming...

advice - If you dont already, get some comfy boots cause you'll need to be prepared to wait in lift lines FOREVER

MLK isn't terrible here. The main lifts at The Canyons can be congested but the mtn is so spread out it's not a big deal. It's def more crowded but no more than a few minutes in line once you get away from the main areas. PCMR will be more crowded as they do twice the business as The Canyons.

Just got to Main St in down town PC, there's like 15 bars to choose from. I have no problem getting wasted here.

LOL.. you guys think MLK is bad where you are. Killington is definately has to be top 3 in the country in this department. I was chilling in my bosses office during the middle of one MLK day and he pulled up this thing that showed how many people were in each of the ASC resorts... Killington had like 18000 on the mountain at one time... 18000!.. Honestly it looks like a Nascar pile up at Bristol. Scariest day to ride hands down. I try and teach the lowest level lesson on MLK so I dont have to go up the mountain. The other ASC resorts didnt even have 18000 combined I think. Steamboat had like 3000 or so, Canyons 2000, Sugarbush had like 5000... I forget exactly but I remember they were wayy low compared to Killington.

If you need a good bloopers video bring a camera and come this year. Good Luck to ya cuz im leavin, lol
