im going to either App. Mtn or sugar mtn this tuesday...
trying to decide which would be best.

sugar mtn's rate is like $39--and they have like 5 slopes open
app. mtn's rate is $30--with three slopes open but with a few boxes and rails.

so what do you think??
App. or Sugar??

^dont listen to him.

It depends on what you want, I went to sugar a week ago, and i went to app yesterday. Sugar has their long run set up, and it's alot of fun to go down. But app has 2 hand rails, 1 flat box, 1 c-box, 1 rainbow box. They only have their main run open. but i had a good time yesterday. So if you want a nice long fun run, with no jibbs, go to sugar, if you want to jibb, go to app.
And app has been blowing a **** load of snow for the past 2 days, so their snow is better there.

man just say fuk that and go to snowshoe

$50 for 6 trails right now and they had like 5 features open but their main park is open but the features are down in the terrain garden but you can still run though the park and air all the places that are jumps when they have them setup. So its like 5 features plus LIMITLESS jump possibilities. and I'm sure the snow is a TON better although I havent been to NC this season

The snow at app was good on saturday. but YoungBlood, tomorrow won't be such a great day to go, it's in the high 40's up there today and the snow is melting some, they wont be able to start blowing untill tomorrow night, and then again thursday-the weekend.

I heard Beech has the most runs?
is that true?

www.skibeech.com (http://www.skibeech.com)

see for yourself :)

No, Beech only has 15 runs, it is a mountain that receives the most snow, and is the highest elevation. It has longer runs than app by far, and hawksnest as well. I'm not sure about sugar, i think there about the same length.
But sugar has 20 trails, although alot of them connect...so it's probably about the same.

if you want a mountain with a ok terrain park, good snowblowing, and shorter runs, app is the best. Sugar is alot longer runs, but the snow is not as good, and the terrain park isnt as good either. beech sucks, sure the runs are long, but the snow there is just nonexistent. ive never been to hawksnest

App. Has a pretty decent park for its small size. but the runs aren't all that amazing.

^You goin up there at all this year? I was there last weekend and they had better conditions then they did all of last year. And a very nice park set up.

snowshoe is not worth ten hours of driving for a day trip right now app is the place to be, they're always looking out for the park rats
