The site has been around for a while and well it is progressing very well. Unfortunately the development on the software that we have been using has been grinded down to a very slow climb. And, for the long run this other option will be a better choice. So, I have decided to switch formats to another base software which seems to be a lot more powerful. I am testing everything out and I am going to test before I roll it out. I hope everyone is going to like this change. I will announce again before the change. Here is some advantages/disadvantages.
Advantages
- More Powerful
- More Stable
- More Secure
- Cleaner interface
- Cleaner code which results in a faster loading site.
- Full album software which has many more features.
- Better development
- Better profiles
Disadvantages
- A lot of work for me
- Higher cost for the software
- Some items may not be copied over :( (I am working as hard as possible to migrate everything over but somethings may be lost)
- Learning curve, we will all need to get used to the new software which so far seems easier to use.
I hope that everyone understands that this needs to be done and will be for the best and help the site progress and that you guys dont just give up on the site. I promise it will be awesome!
