Okay so everyone just use this thread to say when you're gonna be going to snowshoe that way if a few of us are going the same days we can meet up and ride.


I'll be getting there this Fri night and be staying until Sunday, hit me up if you want to ride.

i'm going to be at snowshoe all day on Saturday. I'll have on a big black poofy jacket with fur on the hood (keeping it G) tan pants and a white forum. and dragon goggles with a black GNU beanie. i don't think i get service on the mountain on my phone....

So is the Village Rail Jam there this weekend too?




and I read on the site that they're opening up 3 new trails (I think ones to the far side of the Top of the World) and even the governor is gonna be there on friday to cut the rope for it

idk if it is the village rail jam but there are the contests.... rail jam and slopestyle on sat and big air on sunday... i was thinking about entering but i haven't snowboarded at all this season so i would suck probably... i know they are opening up 3 new ones on friday b/c the gov. will be there but i think i read they were opening 7 trails for the w/e. they got 17 inches in the past 2 days, that's crazy. we only got about 5 or 6 in morgantown. you staying in the village or somewhere else?

nah we were gonna stay in the village but rooms were like over 400 for 2 nights, fuk that.


We booked our room at some B&B at the base of the mtn, so we'll get some hot food in our stomachs and be there near opening in the morning on saturday and sunday.

oh and we'll be toking all weekend so hit us up for a cannabis concoction

Snow shoe is up to 17 trails now. Damn I wish I was going this weekend. :(

They are finally opening a glades run and yes the ribbon cutting for the new trails is this weekend.

oh. well i just read that. lol i'm already home. i'm soooo sore from not riding in forever and have an ingrown toe nail it sucks. i'm pissed that my new 32 forecast boots are so stiff. I couldn't ride with them at all. so i guess i'm going to sell them on ebay and get some 32 team twos. I hope they will sell for a decent price since they have only been riden for 10 min.

yeah the weekend was pretty much AWESOME, except for it raining most of saturday night.


......and I learned a few things

first off, dont take a jib board on a closed powder run.....it DOESNT work
second, falling like 12 feet to your back then slamming your head hurts and will knock you out for just a sec

and lastly, Morning Glory Inn is the sh¡t, mom and pop B&B's have the BEST food.

haha what did you fall 12 feet from?

My toe was killing me all day on saturday b/c i have an ingrown toenail it sucks so bad. I gotta get it cut out on the 18th and then get my wisdom teeth out the next day :(

you know at the end of the park after the box and the rail, the long box that was put perpendicular to the run to stall on?

Well right after that thing was like a 5 or 6 foot drop so if you went off the end you get a nice little fall. After hitting that a few times I was like daaaaamn, look at the lip right at the end of the box. There was still a good lip to us as a jump, so I went going straight at the thing and just hit it like 8 inches from the end of the box. That shot me like at least 10 feet up and swung me around I came down that whole way then down the incline after the box and slammed my back into the ground and when my head slammed the snow I got knocked out for just a minute. For almost 2 hours after that it hurt soooooo bad everytime I took a breath. After being in pain for 20 minutes I said fuk it, went back to the car and smoked a blunt, after that I felt a TON better

haha yeah. i didn't go in the park. it wasnt open when i first got there so i assumed it was closed for all day. but i did see that. alot of times they don't make the ramp up to the wall rides vertical enough and you just smack into it.

im suppost to go some time next weekend with my uncle and my cousins....whats the mountain like? since im from jersey and havent been down to snowboard down there. im also told that im riding at wintergreen next weekend

its a pretty nice mountain IMO, the best in WV. it has 50 trails i think, since they just opened 3 new ones recently www.snowshoemtn.com (http://www.snowshoemtn.com)

they weren't all open just the far one. One of the three is a Glade run, which was kinda open but you cant go as deep into the trees as they make it seem and until they get more snow this week it doesn't have enough coverage to be good riding. My base got some good hits from rocks and branches on the ground.


and **** the Western Territory. They had one run open saturday morning, but by luchtime when I walked over there they had closed it. Everytime that Snowshoe gets dumped on with snow by the weekend the temps drop and everything gets ruined. I think it even rained again there yesterday.

thanks for the input but what about wintergreen ?....i think thats where im staying i see they got a couple trails not that many tho
