Copper Mountain, CO 1/8-1/12

Alright, so i just found out i'm going to copper mountain and will be riding from jan 8 to jan 12. I can't wait since I am from WV and have never been out west. Any info that I should know? I looked at the trail map but couldn't really figure out if you had to hike to the two bowls or what?

no, you don't. Tha back bowls are okay but make sure you hit up the snowcats, that is where it is at

I just got back from a trip to Colorado this past weekend. We got a slope side house at Copper. The mountain was pretty good, better than anything i've riden in New England, but Vail was unbelievableee. The whole day I was riding in 2 feet of untracked pow. It was the best riding i've ever done, without a doubt. Be sure to ride Vail at least one day. Its like a half hour from Copper.

depending on your skill level :

ok i think you take the american eagle lift up (which is like the longest lift ride everr) than take sierra up to union bowl(its awesome , has some moguls, double black) option 2: once you get off the lift(Sierra) go right all the way to the end there is another bowl called Union Meadows which is alright.
Option 3: if your not advanced or just wanna do a practice run theres a really fun easy blue run right off the sierra lift you can take down back to the sierra lift and go right back up.

but my favorite was going down union bowl and cutting across into some cheezy green run and going into the woods.( which i got lost) but its called enchanted forest i think. which you can take down to the terrain park or hop on the main run back down to the american eagle lift..

copper for some reason i think gets the best snow. i mean i went there in april. huge ass snow storm easter day. siqqest thing ever. total white out.
i also love the layout compared to a bigger resort such as breckenridge where its tourist central

haha yeah i did. i'm pretty good at riding, i can almost ride switch down anything.

Why are you going to NY instead of CO this year. Aren't the costs about equal since you are coming from florida?

im not going to NY instead. I'm going NY because im going to western pennsylvannia to visit family and my cousin and i take the 2 hour drive goto holiday valley

i goto colorado at spring break
but i might be also going at the end of Jan. cause i have finals and get like 5 day weekend

and surprisingly this year tickets to denver are like around 320

^psh man no i'm not, lol. The reason i was asking her is because i live in NC, and i'll be visiting family in PA over christmas, and boarding at holiday valley, and was just trying to find someone to board with.

chels, your lucky. my ticket is like 530 because i'm flying out of charleston, WV instead of Charlotte, NC. Charlotte is a bigger airport so it would be cheaper but my friend's mom wanted to fly out of charleston. oh well, i'm just happy to be going to CO
