I'm always riding Breck area since I live here. Find it ironic you put down your home mountain as Holiday Valley and Copper. 2 entirely different mountains that I used to ride.

So if you can say you're 18 then we'll ride.

I just got back from a week long trip to Breck.... It was a lot of fun.

The mountain is great. Huuuuugeee, and has lots of great stuff. The parks are incredible. Be sure to go up the Imperial lift a couple times. Its got some insane bowls, but be sure to go on a powder day, and a nice sunny day that isn't windy.
The Lake Chutes are NUTS. You go up Imperial and than hike up this little 300 ft hill to get there. They're a lot of fun. Really extreme. Every trail on Imperial is pretty extreme, but especially the chutes.

The town of Breckenridge is really nice. Lots of sweet snowboard shops, and nice restaurants. If you're a fan of taco's, go to Rita's Taco Bar. AMAZING tacos, and really cool employees. There's also a Cold Stone there.. and if you've never been to Cold Stone.... its amazing.

Only good thing about Rita's is the lame commercial on the cable access channel.

Imperial bowl extreme? Damn buddy go to A basin and ride Pally chair. Brecks a really mellow resort.

I <3 public access. I think the only really extreme thing at breck is lake chutes. Their parks are ill though. And whats the reason that breck and vail etc don't have night skiing and keystone does??

Night skiing at Keystone sucks.

Fear or Elevation, how long is the drive from Colorado Springs to Breckenridge?

It's typically 2 1/2 - 3 hours depending on traffic & road conditions.

I don't drive so I wouldn't know. Now if you need to know time pick ups of the summit stage I'm your guy.

Keystone has night skiing because they suck and had it long before Vail owned them. Its a novelty, realistically you want to be off the mountain by 3 at the latest.

whys that the conditions suck after 3?

Its all preference. Keystone at night is usually really icy and they don't have many runs open but it is fun to do sometimes. I've done it before just because its night riding and its fun to be out at 8. Its also nice sometimes to stop early at like 1 or 2 and take a rest, then go back out at 7 for a couple hours. To each his own. I've gone maybe like twice all season.

You go to CC, or just live in C springs?

I'm form Chicago and go to Univ. of Denver.

Yeah.. it's definitely nice to be able to head up there at 11am if you don't want to wake up at 6am... & be able to ride til 6 or 7. Especially on weekdays. I love the fact that they have night riding because it's light til around 6 usually... and you can still get an extra 2 hours in of daylight when they have night riding instead of having to pack up camp at 4.

Also... for those of you who care, Keystone has night riding 7 days a week starting today through all of March. :)

Did anyone else hit up Loveland pass last week for the full moon?

Keystone at 3:30 is rough and I stress ROUGH. More power to you people that want to ride that, I left the right coast to get away from that stuff.

I applied to CC (I'll get in but I probably won't go there). I might try to head over to the campus and check it out because a friend of mine has a sister that goes there. The reason I asked is because I'll be arriving in Denver at noon and that's not enough time to get to Breck and ride, so I wanted to go check out CC that day. But it might be too much of a hassle so I don't know.

I'm from Chicago too and a friend of mine is going to DU.

idk man if its below 32 degrees here no matter what time it is theres always massive ice patches, and not like happy ice like bulletproof haha. But last year when i was at breck i would not have gone out past 6 because it was like 40 degrees everyday then like 20 in the night so yea I feel that. But I wish they stayed open till like 6 cuz I always had to leave when the sun was still shinin.
