Me and my friends want to take a senior trip to a sweet mountain out in the west somewhere. Any ideas as to where would be a nice place to go but not to expensive. One of my friends wants to go to Bear and another to Northstar. I dont really care were we go but im more of a park guy(but looking to do a little back country lol) so anywhere sounds good to me. Any suggestions from people that live on the west or have been would be great.
Edit: I would personally want to go to Northstar because it is closer. Ohio to California is an awful long drive lol.

Go to Jackson Hole or somewhere in Colorado. No need to go all the way to Cali/Tahoe when there are better mountains and snow in Colorado.
Wolf Creek is sick, Telluride, Crested Butte and Arapahoe Basin are all fairly inexpensive. (Not too sure about Wolf Creek or Telluride anymore though).

if you are set on california...id go to tahoe...im sure you will be there to for more than a few days and you can go to many different resorts in tahoe whereas bear only has 2

I second that if you insist on Cali.
However I would say go to Colorado.

Hope you have BC certs, gear, and know what the hell your doing. Going out a gate right now is deadly, I triggered a small slide out windows gate at Breck. We had another death on Vail pass here. If you want park just go to summit county CO and then you have Copper, Breck, and Keystone and a short drive to Vail.
