I agree with you there. I can't stand rap at all. The only kind of rap i listen to is like late 80s early 90s rap.(NWA, Run DMC, Easy E, and some Mc Hammer.

yes i hate all the britney spears whatever. I also hate modern rap cuz the lyrics are just plain stupid. Country is also pretty bad in my books... and reggae... and that's about it.

The thing i hate most about most modern day "musicians/singers" is that they don't write their own stuff. They just get handed a sheet of paper with lyrics sumone else made up, and sang to music that someone else made. Then they go "oh yea my music is from my soul." No it's not.

eww i know, its so annoying. theyre on this month's issue of spin. and with the release of their new cd yesterday, i can feel it. theyre gonna be bigger than even they want. but i'm happy i got tickets to their toronto show. it sold out in just over 10 minutes, so at least none of those posers will get tickets. haha

The key note to look for if a band sells out/hits it big: see if they have all the pictures naming the band members and their instruments listed in the booklet that comes with the CD.

most of my friend's like motion city soundtrack. I do too, but haven't gotten around to buying their cd (lol i'm tight on $$ =)). another really good band that not too many people know about is The Dead Milkmen. They have this one song called "bitching camerra" that cracks me up every time.

Last summer, I was driving around with my friend, and she was listening to some pop station, and this awful pop girly song came on. I asked her who it was, and she said it was LIZ PHAIR. And I was just like WTF SHE USED TO BE COOL. Back when I was in a punky little riot girl band (leave me alone, I was 14), I loved her. I normally hate saying this about musicians but, yech, what a sell out. At least with that song, I haven't heard any of the others from her latest cd. Too afraid to listen, I suppose.

lets see, who do i hate? i hate every band that changes their style of music after getting signed. i hate this mainstream rap and wannabe hip hop that is like sewage water to my ears. for the people that live in the d'rty south, i hate to break it to you, but people in the real world dont have such f-ed up accents. im glad there is the brittany pop out there. that keeps those people away from the music i love.

pop, anythign that sounds whiny, country, ***** rock like Maroon 5, and a hell of a lot of rap music. if it doesn't make my ears bleed and want to punch people in the face, then i ain't ****ign listenign to it. the onyl acception is somethign upbeat liek ska. as long as it is fast and can grind harder than two veteran porn stars, then i'll listen to it. but once it gets moody or "oh baby bay"'ish on me, then the cd becomes a coaster for my drink or becomes a frisbee and goes out the car window into the grill on a semi truck whiel i drive down the freeway. i did that to one of my g/f's cds when she took my **** out of MY car's cd player and put in some mixed cd of this bubble gum and tampons ****. it is my car, i am listenign to what i want to listen to. she is lucky she accidentally bunred three of the same mix, or else she owuld have had to remember what else she put on that cd.

yeah theres def a difference between wanting to punch someone in the face because of the music, and wanting to punch someone in the face because of the music their listening to. the pit is so awesome at concerts. oh yeah, that brings up another thing i hate...people that think their all badass that stand on the outskirts of the pit and hit me from behind. aahhh that just makes me so pissed. that and the big smelly fat dude thats sweating allover everybody.

or jocks that throw elbows in the pit. or girls who show up anbd go into the pit thinkign they can waltz through it and nto get hurt. that's why i vowed neevr to go to warped tour ever again because of this year. some **** rocker was kickign peole in the nuts and beign a cheap ****, so a few in the pit, myself included, all body slammed this kid at the same time. then there was this chick they went into the middle of the pit and started groove dancing in circles giggling right before this guy bumped into her and she went flying. she almost got trampled, but thsi one goth chick saw her and just bum-rushed through everyoen and pulled her out. hats off to a goth chick to help someone from dying, lol. i just saw what kind of stupid **** goes on in pits because "moshes are cool to be in," and i just thought to myslef "unless it is a core show, and not some festival, i am not going to mosh ever."

good pits there is some contact, but you mostyl have your space and youre doing your thing and windmilling it up or something and the kid next to you is spin kicking and the kid next to him is punching but no one is running around just shuving people into other people, and if someone gets spun kicked to the face, oh well they shouldnt have been so close

when someone shoves me, i grab their arm and yank them in. most of the time they freak out. and if they don't freak out, you slam dance their ass into the ground. last time someone shoved me in, i jumped back at them and literally threw them into the middle of it. i hardly ever do stupid **** to people when i am in a pit, but if somoen is being a continuouse ****, or is a compleate asshoel to me, then i take action. other than that i just go through, slam dance, and do my damndest to do it the right way.

at the same time, oyu kinda need to be on the look out for others when you are in there. if you see someoen goign down and they are not getting back up, or they get a few kicks to the face, you gotta try to get in and pull them out. that's the second thig i do best, because nto many peple are goign to get in the way of a 6'2" kid wearing a Misfits t-shirt with hsi arms going every which way. it;s kinda like a Moses spreading the Red Sea sort of act, lol.

I hate when people in the pit just go crazy, and just need to relax. All they do is jump around and push people like there's no tomorrow. It all gets a little tiring, and often painful.

I'm not very big, so I always get killed in pits haha. Last time I was in one, a guy got dropped on my head while crowd surfing.

What I hate and what I like really depends on the artist. In general, I dislike reggae and mainstream modern rap, but I like UB40 and I listen to The Game for laughs. I also dislike bubblegum pop, but I have a few crappy bubblegum j pop songs on my ipod that I listen to (along with bad 80s metal like Cinderella and Poison, hahah, it's soo bad that it's good!). I don't like country, but Kathleen Edwards and Johnny Cash I can put up with. Also pop punk (such as Simple plan/GC/NFG/my chemical romance) sucks (although I like matchbook romance and the matches and so on...). On the other hand, I like the sex pistols/Clash/ramones but I don't like the Dead Kennedys... I also dig the beach boys, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, the beatles, but I hate Elvis Presley.
Go Figure.

FURTHERMORE... Can one of you cats who likes "real emo" please clarify what that is because I'm completely in the dark. Give me a few (preferably famous) examples of emo bands... Thanks :)
