Lime Wire

Does anyone else use Lime Wire? I just installed it onto my work computer. I love it so far. I just got the basic version so I didnt have to pay $19.

I use LimeWire. It's okay. I don't love it, but I'm too lazy too look for an alternative. And I rarely download music anymore, so it's not a big deal.

Well I love that it's easy to use, because I don't know **** about file sharing and stuff. I hate computers.

I used to use limewire, but I haven't since I got a new computer - never bothered to install it. Didn't I hear there was spyware in it though? Or was that one of the other ones.

No spyware, which is why I switched to LimeWire. Warez was the bad one. I only download here and there. Not too much these days.

i have Morpheus, and i need ot get rid of it. it takes to much of my connection and slows things down. it freezes up all the time too. my brother had it for awhile, andi think he has limewire now. his comp used to freeze liek mine does with morpheus.

i want to get hodl of soul seek. anybody have that?

i use soulseek and bit torrent. soulseek is a lot more user friendly and i usually try it first. as for bit torrent, i am convienced u can find anything your looking for, but its more advanced to used.

i have downloaded like 4 cd's with limewire. its not all that fast but it gets the job done.

I use Limewire Pro. on one of my comps. and Reg. free version of Limewire on another comp.

I hate limewire... would always happen to dissconnect, then restart, then keep repeating. I just dont like it. I think Ares downloads random crap sometimes, but I havent found anything better that I like.

if you want pro all you gotta do is search on it and download it off of basic. thats what i did.

Is it safe nowadays... or do you have to worry about one day gettin' a knock at your door????

I don't know what you guys are talking about with no spyware on Limewire. That's pure lies. Even if there is no Spyware, there are Viruses everywhere. No matter how careful I am, I always end up with at least one trojan horse on my computer at the end of a downloading session. And I download ALOT of trance, house and techno.

But whatever. Some people get lucky.

If you use a good Antivirus app THAT YOU UPDATE REGULARLY and a FIREWALL, you'll never get a virus.

You are downloading the viruses/spyware. I was talking about malicious programs built into the software. WinMX and Kazaa were known for that.

I have Norton 2005 and ZoneAlarm Pro. I update once aday if even applicable. Im not saying I get thousands of viruses, but Limewire has them everywhere and there's no way to tell sometimes, even if you scan after downloading.

And on top of that, they aren't computer killing viruses. I just get rid of them and that's that.
