View Full Version : i hate filing for taxes
dude every year i pay HR Block to do my taxes for me but this year it all got screwed up. i got many letters in the mail for saying that i miss filed federal, state, city ( they have no record of my 04 taxes), and local school district (who claims i paid the wrong district). wtf i am sooo pissed. this morning i got another letter from the city saying they have no record of my payment. what really erks me is that i dont really remember if i did pay them. i just assume that i did, but i cant find proof of the electronic payment. eerrrrrr I hate taxes.

If H&R Block did it... take the letters to them. If not, you need to just keep searching for paperwork. Also.... If you did e-payments, then you should be able to got to your bank or whoever and find back records.

Damn, that sucks... but SnoChica's right, as long as you didn't do the H&R block free filing, I think that their filing is guaranteed.

Ohhh...that bites! This past year the IRS "misappropriated" the payments I sent them for taxes. They found out where the put the money and credited me, but I was pissed. You don't just "misplace" someone's $900.
I'd call H&R Block and have words with them.
I truly hate taxes because my husband and I own a business. We have an accountant that does our personal and business taxes because I won't touch them with a 10-foot pole now. They're a royal pain in the ass!
i tried to call HR block and left a msg. the lady that did my taxes said she set everything up and put it in a envolope. she said as long as i signed the marked pages and mailed it out i will be fine for fed and state and she will fix them next tax season. she said that HR block doesnt file city so she cant comment on it even though she set it up for me. i called the bank and explained and they said they need to know the exact name for the city that it will show up under. i tried guess a few things but nothing came up.

Talk to your employer. Sometimes, City taxes are handles by your company. I know mine are. I pay my Local Tax through them.
