To those who stay warm:
I'm looking for a good setup to replace my cheaper old stuff. Money is no object, but I want to be reasonable.
So far I like the Burton shield jacket and pants. I board all season, and it does get cold, but I need mobility too.
Are you guys using shells and vests, or "fluffy", or what?

I usually just wear a thermal shirt, tee shirt, and hoodie. Keeps me pretty warm. You could always just toss on a Columbia jacket, those are pretty warm and waterproff too I think.

I got Ride snowboarding pants that have been through a lot and still are in great condition. Puffy coats are too warm for me, I just go down in a thermal, vest and shell. In late spring I just go in my underwear.......
I have all types of jackets, coats, and pants. Right now I am wearing Bonfire Coat and Bonfire pants. If it to warm then I just wear my forum shell and pants.

Finally got some decent stuff that matches. I picked up a nice Sessions shell jacket and black burton ronin liner pants. The jackets got a bit of yellow and white design that looks really good with my board. Everythings like 20K waterproofness and breathability. I didn't even know they rated that.
Also found some protective padding called crash-pads at crash-pads.com. Thought about getting the pants. I can still feel the pain in my knee from wreckin on a rollercoaster rail last year.
pretty sure i need to sport the cape that sounds pretty sick lol, i got a chicken suit im pretty sure im gonna sport my chicken suit i got for halloween it'll be tight but i sport oakley ****, it looks tight for one and i dont have any complaints black and red thats the way to be

Usually wear one pair of thermals, some good long wool socks, my Burton Pants, a T-Shirt, a Hoodie, a hat, and one of my coats - depending on tempature.
Pants: Burton Tempest (2000)
Coat: Burton Tactic (2002)
Spring Coat: Burton Analog (2001)
Gloves: Burton Toast Mittens (2004)
All gear my gear is great. Warm, Dry, light, breathable, and durable. Pants going on 5 years, still awesome.

I've got a Predator jacket, storm series. vents and a removable hood. Keeps me warm with a t shirt underneith. For the spring I've got a Buget Rent a car jacket with a wool lining. They both work great. As far as pants I throw on some long johns paired up with some Nike jogger pants. Keeps the warmth in and the wet out.

I just wear a long sleeve t-shirt, a hoodie and my Bonfire jacket. It keeps me warm and is super comfortable. I usually wear a pair of snug fitting warmups (the soft kind) and I just got a pair of Limelight Outbound pants. The jackets mainly white with a bit of red and the pants are gray and my backpack is black. My snowboards red so everything is pretty much color coordinated. :D

my element hoodie, long-sleeve shirt from ski resort, flannel pajama pants, colombia snowpants. when its really cold i might wear underarmor instead of the shirt or a jacket instead of the hoodie, but basically thats it.
p.s.- sooooooo comfortable with the pajama pants and both shirt and hoodie have 'thumb holes' so when i lean back on my hands, my wrists dont get icy.

I keep a variety of gear on hand, it seems like every season I collect another pair of pants or a jacket. Mainly burton ronin gear cause they just flat out rock. Good all weather shells with enough room to layer up for cold days. Also I picked up some 686 gear last season that I have really enjoyed, super warm and comfy. I gotta show love for volcom gear, also very warm and super comfy especially my volcom down jacket.

I wear both Ride Jacket and Pants. I highly recomend underarmour. I don't know how they do it but it's thin as hell and keeps you nice and toasty.

This season my whole crew (including myself) turned into Burton whores. I'm not a fan of their boards, and their bindings are terrible, but their gear is top notch. Their design staff is incredible. They've predicted everything you could ever want/need. Myself, I'm rocking the Ronin 6/4 Down (I'm always cold), with the Ronin camo pants to match. I got everything on sale tho, because you have to be a millionaire to afford Burton gear.

My pants rule. I got this season's Burton Metro in plaid.. so they're mainly white with light grey/pink plaid. They look identical to pjs, n everybody compliments me. I love em. They have cargo pockets at the bottom where I usually keep a camera. They also came with a removable fleece inner layer which kicks ass too. I have others, but I wear these the most.
My coat is a solid black Betty Rides shell.. I only wear it if it's reeeally cold or windy. I prefer a hoodie (usually Nikita or Volcom).

ive had this extreme cold weather army jacket since highschool,
and i just started wearing to go riding this season.
its gortex, has a skirt, and a great hood.
and ig to some cheapo ripzone shell pants in brown that match my camo jacket.
but for the past 5 years, i rode in a dub jacket and burton biolight cargos.
i have to say, after 5 years of hard riding, my burton pants are like brand new.
the dub jacket on the other hand is falling apart...

I have 686 pants and they rock! I also have a pair of Burtons. They're OK but I got them for free, so I guess I can't complain. My jackets are Burton and I really dig them.

If you get really cold, and it storms a lot, go for dub brand, foursquare, planet earth. on the jacket, and dub brand, volcom, or planet earth on the pants. My opinion, but those are the best brands Ive found
