alrighty, so i finally got my "As IF" DVD last week, and to be honest i think its one of those dvd's that has to grow on me. but i was wondering if anyone has gotten any of the other videos for this season, and what they thought about them.
I got Burning Bridges. I like it a lot. I would write a better review, but my brain is shot right now.

The new Standard Films DVD Paradox showed up in the mail today.
Looks pretty good, big mountain/Rossignol Jeremy Jones riding some awesome terrain as usual. Have to watch it all later tonight.

What are the other lame womens videos?
I was thinking of picking up Dropstitch and Transfer from Chunkyknit eventually...are they any good?
I don't know, I have one called "Our Turn" and it's a snow/skate/surf video and it's just boring. It's all WOMEN ARE STRONG AND POWERFUL but when it comes to what they're doing, it's just lame. If I want to see women not airing out of a pipe, I'll just watch the girls at my mountain.

i want to go pick up a Copy of teh Community Project when i go get a new board. i'm just waiting a little bit til after my b-day so i have some gift money i could use for that and putting towards the board. juts the whole opening part in the trailer got me hooked really quick. maybe because i am from lower michigan and powder is like a dream coem true if ti ever happens, so i guess that's hwy it appealed to me so much.
i'm gonna og watch that trailer again....

well the first time I watched it I was way bummed, I felt like I got ripped off, so I kept telling myself I got a transworld subscription and this was a side gift... that I paid for...yeah... There is a lot of wasted time. little skits and junk with cheap computer animations added in. I personally was not impressed by much of the riding, I mean they are good, but nothing I could not see here at home. Kelly Clark did some nice stuff i must say and someone else had a few nice shots but I can't remember off the top of my head who it was. I did find myself saying "Ahh that was sweet!" but it was usually after a wipeout, and there are plenty of those to choose from. if I were able to go back, I think I would have got another video. I might have bought it when it was on sale at a local shop, but only because it is a girl video and its a reminder that I'm not the only one boarding for the sport and not guys.
Well ****. Maybe I'll just get Big Blind for my free Transworld subscription instead. That's really annoying, the previews made it look cool.
i know! i was so pumped when DHL dropped it off. i even did a little Jig. And then...i watched it. It was a waste of a good Jig.

I have $100 gift certificate to Sunsports board and skate. I am waiting till they get new vids in, and thats what all 100 is going to :)

Well if you think about it, a lot of those dvds are almost $30...so if you get three, that's practically $100. And there were definitely three that I wanted to get.

I always get free stickers from Sunsports and Blacksheep. I get free **** from Blacksheep all the time since I have known those guys for almost 9 years now. Everytime I am in there I bother Jimmy or John about starting a team. I almost ahd them convinsed once.
i got The Big Blind today...it was pretty good, not as good as Video Gangs but i liked it. kicked the heck out of As If. i wish i had $100 to blow on snowboard videos...or better yet, if you could rent them, so then you don't have to buy the video to find out if it is crapy or if it rocks...that would be sweet.

Every year I pick up at least 3 vids the new mack dawg, standard and absinthe films are by far in my opinion the most consistenly good videos.
I picked up futureproof last week (the new absinthe film), I really was diggin on the riding especially gigi's opening part. Although the music was absoulute rubbish. All the riders had amazing riding but seriously, I picked it up, brought it home, and popped it in, and the music had me asleep within 15 minutes. Sad. I know those guys like to make their films more of an art/snowboard film but come on the music was horrible.
anyone else subjected to this aural torture, or am I the only one?

That's disappointing, I'm about to send my money off for Futureproof, I was really looking forward to it.
Standard's new one, Paradox, is awesome though!
I'm with you on Standard and Absinthe being the best snowboard film producers, though I'm not into Mack Dawg at all, too much jibbin' attitude for my liking.

I don't really download stuff anymore (sort of a pain on a Mac) so I usually just buy my dvds and music. Crazy I know, but I end up with a lot less crap that way, which is nice.

Plus the people that put all that effort into making the product get the reward they deserve, instead of you stealing it from them.
Yes, that's the other more obvious reason. I have trouble justifying stealing music and such now that I have a job that sort of allows me to live comfortably.

Picked up from ____, with love today. **** kicks ass!!! seriously a great video, lots of great footage from the whole crew at great locations to boot. Definately one to pick up (and there is a good mix between mountains and rails too....

i agree with Tizzer. this video is serious. the Moscow and Norway parts are amazing...
