Hunter and Mtn Creek are 2 of the big ones, Hunter gets a lil crowded tho. Snowshoe, Mt Snow, Smugglers Notch, there are 63+ resorts in the NE alone

I live in upstate NY. I usually hit up catamount everyday but once in a while hunter. The reason i don't go to hunter cuz most kids are total as wipes with the best gear who can't ride. Catamount isnt as good as hunter but its such a chill enviroment.

Hunter or Mountain Creek. Those are the only ones I can really get to without a car.

In my experience the best mountain is Windham. Hunter's trails are so thin and the place is always crowded. I would avoid Hunter and go to Windham. I've also been to Bel-Air. This place is ok cause it almost always empty!!

Whiteface is great when the snow is good.

Gore was a big disappointment. I was there for last winters big storm and it was still kind of lame. They have a few good runs off the main gondola but everything else was a bit blah.

Killington is pretty solid, they have a lot of variety. My problem is that it's a criss crossed fustercluck.

Hunter is one of my favorites but the weekend crowd can be tough.

That's all I've hit up there for now. I'd like to try some of the others when I get the chance.

beleayre is allright. the terrain isnt as good as hunter but it doesnt get the crowds and i think thats most important cuz no lines=more riding

I havent been to windham but I hit up mountain creek and hunter quite often. Bellayre is a nice mountain but the staff there sucks, they are way too strict about everything...

I usually ride at hunter or mtn. creek. Creek is kinda blah terrain wise but soooooo cheap and convenient (great if your into riding half pipe and park). Hunter is lots of fun but, but can get real crowded(crowds generally aren't a problem on the westside). Haven't ridden the poconos in awhile. Windham kinda sucks in my book, mostly because the majority of blacks there are straight wide open sheets of ice, and the lifts there seem slow. Bellayre is fun, cheap and relatively uncrowded. The downside is the trails are short, but the tix are cheap (my best day of riding was on a march day 2 years ago when they got 2 feet of snow the day before i went and the temps were in the 50s). Rode Plattekill a couple of years back (they had a tow rope, which is bloody murder to use on a snowboard) really fun terrain and no crowds but the place is next to impossible to find. Also ridden tremblant, but didn't get a great feal for the mountain because it was december and i was recovering from kee surgery, so i sucked. Heading back up to Mt. Snow to introduce the lady friend to boarding (fun easy mountain, and midweek=cheap and no crowds). I'm hoping to find time for a 2 or 3 day trip up to stowe or jay this winter.

I've been to bellaeyre this year and they got almost a foot of snow the night b4 so the trails were great, I also go to Windham which i don't really like (way too icy). Hunter is kinda expensive compared to some others.. I like the cheap mountains, so I'm plannin on gettin to creek this year to see what the big hype about their park is, all my friends go there...I've been to vermont and Killington is too popular to enjoy the riding, way too packed. but I'll go anywhere within a few hours, since I'm always the one driving out of the group at 5am to get to the mountains when they open.

i'm gonna be all over the place, Creek, HUnter, Wyndam (sp), Killington, Mt. Snow, Stowe, Stratton, i didnt get to ride much at all the past two years but i get free lift tickets from work so i'm going to take advantage and get as many days in as possible. Who wants to hook up some car pools to Vt. etc. My buddy has a house at Mt snow.
