Hey, I'm from the Cleveland, Oh area. I ride at Boston Mills and Brandywine in northern Ohio. Where's there to ride down south. Friends and I are lookin for some short road trips... anything down there?

Columbus right here. Mad river is the home slope (booo) but i leave the state to ride new york, colorado, vermont, west virginia, havnt made it to cali yet.

But im moving to Copper/WP in november sooooooo... wont be here that much more.

i know how that goes...tooled around on a balence board for a bit today...i'm ready like no other! oh and it makes it especially tough when you have new board and bindings you hvent riden yet haha

I am a transplant from the PNW, living in WC Ohio now, I am a member at Mad River.
When I am not driving to NY, PA, MI, WV. to go riding. I am at Mad River at lest twice a week.
I would like to go home and visit so I can ride Mount Hood with my Nephews and go ride Mt. Baker (My home slope) with my daughter.
Here is something for all you female riders, on feb 4th, Girl Powder and The Danger-Zone will be hosting a all girls contest at MRM during college days.
I will list a messege later giving all the 411 on it later in the season.
So Ladies, gals. Winner gets a sponsership from Girl Powder (So Cal Based Company)

you gotta get there when there arent 1000 little kids there. lift tickets seem like they keep going up and up!

So has anyone been out to Perfect North? Ive been out there the past 2 weekends, and its also my first 2 weekends boarding. Have loved it so far, but this past weekend, went Sunday, noticed it was a bit powdery out, and a lot slower than the previous weekend I was there.

I'm in Toledo and since we don't have anything in Toledo I hit up Michigan and they have some pretty nice places compared to Boston Mills. If anyone wants a short Road trip SouthEast Michigan has some alright places for being in the Midwest.

BMBW... yea yeah went there good for the area... we terrorized alpine valley.. lol we took picnic tables on the runs golf clubs.. i was kicke dout of that palce more itmes then i cna remeber. lol

Now i go to school in Pa and i rock out at 7 Springs HELLS YEAH!!!

but i still come home on the weekends to terrorize the valley and some bmbw action lol

Yeah, the snow does suck but the park is usually good until all the jumps turn to ice and I hate when they blow the snow machines when you're riding. I went up to New York last year and I blew all my money just on lift tickets and other crap.

Exact same with MRM.. the discounted group passes went up over $100 this season so that's pretty f'd up... other than that it's small but there's more park type stuff than you would expect. It works for living in freakin Ohio... oh and being 5 minutes away doesn't hurt either. :mrgreen:

Ya the price hike of a 100 bucks really is a lot I think, well they have to pay for the 2 and a half million Dollar expansion some how.
It is still better buying your passes through us that have MTM groups you still save a lot.
it is better then nothing and I am still going to be there twice a week if not more.

I think I might hit up snow trails this season some time though, maybe met up with some other SBA riders there if anyone is up for it.

I ride at Paoli Peaks in Paoli, IN. I live in Kentucky so it's the closest mountain around. Never been to Perfect North but I might go sometime this year even though I have a season pass for Paoli.

If you have to live here ride whatever and take as many trips possible. We just get snow from ice skating rinks and do jibs and get maybe 1 -2 good jumps a season.

They do have quite a bit of snow laying on the ground there though. Just sucks that a week straight its gonna be 60. Probably melt all by next Thursday.

Oh there definetly is... :D Perfect North Slopes is the place I go and its pretty awesome. There aren't any half-pipes or anything that extreme but we have railslides and littler stuff like that. I think theres also a place called Spicy Run. Somethin like that...but i've never been.

yeah PNS! its not exactly breck but during the winter its like my home away from home. haha cincinnatis not the best place for a snowboarder to live

you gotta make the best out of what ya got, i used to live in evansville IN son paoli is where i started, but every year me and my boyz take a trip out west, usually breckenridge, and so everything we do is like practice (even though IN and CO are no camparrison) for the big trip out west.

Totally, Ive been watchin their webcams ever since Friday, checking them bout 5 times a day. Ill be there ASAP as soon as they open, Friday night at the latest.:mrgreen:

Was up at Perfect yesterday, and had a blast. Snow was actually pretty nice, didnt get icey until the end of the night. Might be goin up again today!

yeah so i went up there and bombed center stage..sooo much fun..but then i went down showtime, popped out of the trees goin uber fast, nose dug in, flew forward, flipped, and somehow ended up on my knees...it sucks cuz i did something to my knee..i got an mri yesterday and i find out the 26th...if i have to get surgery i wont be able to ride the rest of the year

614 in tha house!!!! I just got my season pass for Mad River. I'll be up there every weekend unless Im in WV riding at Snowshoe. Mad River is looking pretty sad right now more grass than snow :( Has anyone made a trip out to Blue Knob in PA? I was wondering what it's like out there.

^^^I hope things shape up to make it worth your while (or money). I usually go up to MI, sometimes OH...but nothing either place this year. I heard the east isn't looking so hot either.:(

..and to answer my own question two posts up, you have to drive 17-19 hrs. Made it to Colorado today but everything closes before dark on Mon and Tues. Can't wait!!!!!!!!!

ha yeah im about a half hour from mad river and i ride there all the time...its alright..i mean its ohio but their terrain park is pretty nice good rails and they had some sweet kickers up last year. but i go out of state pretty much every year.

how awesome was this past saturday at pns?! i didnt go friday cuz my school had state for football and went to watch and they totally won! but i got went in the window when there was no rain and it was the best! especially since i hadnt ridden in a year today due to my knee injury. One of the greatest days of my life! i got a gold pass too so im pumped for this winter. It just sucks that its warm again..we need a weather machine to make it get colder and snow and allow them to make snow..this winter will be awesome
