i know this thread probably belongs somwhere else, but i want it to be read.
ive been looking for a good place out west to do my internship this winter (my major is ski area management) and i found out that an old supervisor of mine is working at winter park this year. i gave her a call and she called back and said theyd love to have me. ive started looking at some of their park stuff and it looks pretty legit.
can anyone tell me about Winter Park? should i head there this winter? thanks.

I'd go for it! I like winter park a lot - it's one of my weekend warrior resorts. Their slogan is "colorado's favorite" because it consistently gets high ratings from locals... :)
It's a smaller town, good sized mountian with some fun terrain.... you should talk to e., benjb, and electricmisfit, who are all moving there for the season!

I like it tho, it's fun if you keep off of the actual runs, and stick to the trees.

Good point, he is rather grumpy though...
But anyway, Winter Park is legit... it's a major destination ski resort, probably a great place to get experience in resort management, and a fun place to live on top of that.

It's about 1.5-2 hours, depending on the weather... (and how much you speed)
Looks like lotsa people are gonna be in steamboat or winter park this winter...

I know.. I mean, why does he think I convinced him to move to winter park in the first place? for his own fun? ;)
what, how u all going play me like that. dude the two bedroom cost more. i am just trying to make up for some of the cost. most likey i will not have a roommate since i am all anal about strangers and ****. but regardless kelly you will always be welcome. you and everyone else who help me out during this big move for me.

Winter Park is a great place!! The Rail Yard this year is so sick.. the new Dark Territory is huge!!! The people in WP are really great too and you can find a great party every night... if you move here you won't regret it!

Actually.. some of the people in that thread did move to WP... and we're flying out to visit tomorrow! :)

Did you guys have fun??? I was up in WP this weekend and i had an amazing time. I hope you did, Colorado is the best place on earth! Hope you had fun.

It was way fun, I drove up from denver to chill with all of the kids coming to visit.. next time maybe you can ride too, livingitup.

That's cool, I'm up in WP a lot with my friend shana, we usually ride with e. from this site who lives up there. He's a boy, but we tolerate him anyway. Let me know when you're up, and we can chill - or you can keep an eye out for shana - she's easy to pick out because she wears blue camo pants and a red and white jacket.

Kk will do, i always ride with guys, and thay are so much fun, but somtimes it is nice to ride with some girls, you know what i mean. Guys are fun most of the time, but yeah, you gotta hvae some girls who can show them up with you

I am trying to get more girls up tho, every time I go someplace, it's like 200 guys and me. And maybe one butch looking tele girl.

Yeah we need more girls to actually get good and out number the guys somtime, i have no doubts that you can "show up the guys," i would love to ride with you sometime!

We have a condo in Winter Park and we come all the way from Wisconsin because we love it soooo much! They have a lot to offer boarders and it's not as crowded as Vail. I love Winter Park...you should go for it! ;)

I'm heading back to WP tomorrow(wed) afternoon...I'll be in town from wed nite till sun morn...my friend's still have the condo in WP so I'm sure we'll be throwing down once again....anyone who's gonna be in town come find us, i'll be in moffat and my friends are all instructors

**** WINTER PARK! You hae to ride 5 lifts to get anywhere. It's ****ing Texan Disneyland. Copper is better. A-Basin is better. Keystone is better. Vail and BC are WAY better. Any other resorts on I-70? Oh yeah, Loveland is better.

why you got so much beef with wp, its the shizzznaaat...keystone is the worst cept for the 36 hrs and the only night terrain park in co for the most part...
