The two big ones are Snowbowl in Flagstaff and Sunrise over in the White Tanks. I usually head up to Flag tho. My sister lives up there going to NAU, so i go stay with her and then we head to the slopes with the boyz for some good ol' riding. The mountain is awesome this year finally.

Nice to see someone else from AZ in here. I usually go to Sunrise since my buddy has a cabin out there, but Snobowl isn't bad as long as it isn't too crowded... runs are too damn easy though...

Yo i just moved out of az last november to washington after being in mesa for 17 years and sure enough my season sucked and AZ's kicked ass I got calls all season long from homies sayin' how great it was but the mountains (flag and sunrise) suck in comparision to Mt baker.

so? you are still closer to them than i am, so you have an advantage. if we want to dispose of someone, we drive to the detroit river and dump the body wiht cement shoes. all you have to od is knock them out, drive out somewhere, drop them off and leave. whent hey wake up they basically kill themselves so no guilt to you, lucky devil

Yep Yep repin the southwest! Atleast for a desert it ain't too far from mountains high enough to get some decent snow. Albuquerque aint all bad.

Oh, you mean like Boreal? Mountain High? Ski Sunrise? Sierra Summit?

That's okay, you can take your mediocre, no terrain, no-vertical resorts. While you're not even above the tree line i'll be hiking to the 12,300 foot summit of Agassiz peak for 3100 feet of steep, avalanche-prone insanity.

Ya I have heard that this season is ****ty here in Az. I bought a season pass for Purg and for sunrise but still havent gone up there yet. I wasted my money on that one I think. So are any of the mountains good here? I heard Sunrise was the only mountain up there still! Cyclone and Apache need to open soon!

I lived in Phoenix for the last 5 years......Arizona is a kick ass state!!!! I miss it a lot, but now with Mt. Hood less than an hour from my house, I am loving Portland, Or! Learned to board at Snowbowl last year and it was a great year there. Hope you guys get some snow....or at least some rain to knock down the fire danger!!!!!

I have skied there before a couple of times when I lived in Bullhead city on the Colorado River. I liked the Snowbowl. Lots to do around the Flagstaff area also. That was a very long time ago though.
