My friend Travis built this spinable jib box. Pretty fun thing to do if there's no snow around.

Yeah I want to build one also, I've gotta ask Travis how to build it, and maybe find a way to make it spin a little easier maybe using bearings or something if he's not using them. I definitely need to ask him more about it though. Maybe have him write a DIY on how to build one. If he does, I'll ask if it's ok to post it here. The band is Death Cab for Cutie not sure what song it is though.

find an old bike and pop the bearing cups, caps, and everythig off, and try to incrporate them ito the set up. or (i liek thsi idea better) take tub of an old bike with sealed bearings in it, and figure otu hwo to run a shaft down the bearings. usually the sealed bearings in a hub will glide smoother and easier when weigth is applied to them, so you shoudl be able to spin that mofo pretty damn good.

I think it would help you with boxes and you could do presses and stuff like that. Other than that, it doesn't seem to have any signifigance

Regardless of whether it helps you with anything, who cares. To me, it simply looks like fun when there's no snow around. But it would help me because at Mtn. High we have a pyramid box that's flat on top and it has a rotating turntable that you can spin on just like that, so for us SoCal peeps, it is significant. Found a pic of the Paradox Box at Mtn. High. You can tell the round turntable on top. I've personally spun a full 360 while doing a nose press on it, it's pretty tough just because the turntable is large, so it's hard to get the leverage and angle just right to get it to spin. But when you get it right, it's super fun.
