not rock, not metal, not hiphop, just something soothing that can get me relaxed and not thing about how tired i am, this really does help, just because i forget that im running and i fall into a trance and then when i get a litte tired and i look down i find out i have already ran over 5 miles and it only seemed like i ran 1 or 2

For me the angrier the song the better. I listen to a lot of Disturbed and Godsmack, with some AC/DC and Metallica mixed in.

I love to listen to Trance when I work out. It's fast paced, yet the singing is mellow and rhymthic. Soothing and energizing at the same time. It's perfect

Depends on the mood I'm in. Hardcore or metal mostly. If I'm lifting or doing the pushup/situp/pullup routine. Lighter stuff like Sense Field when I'm running. When I boxed I used to like to listen to hip hop. Helps you get a rhythm.

Really a little bit of everything that has a good beat to it. I listen to alternative, pop, rock, country, some rap.
When I was a trainer, I had a client that only listened to easy listening (in fact, she always brought her little walkman with her recorded tapes because she couldn't stand the pop music that was coming over the speakers in the gym)...not sure how anyone could do that. I'd fall asleep....whatever motivates you though...haha.

I like some harder rock when im lifting heavy, for jumping rope or any other cardio i like something chill and slower...it helps me not focus on time so much and i can get more cardio done.

I'm actually down with some classical sometimes when I run. nice fluid rhythm. Mix in with the occasional Norma Jean or ETID for some sprinting.

well if i could figure out how to keep my ipod from dying EVERY SINGLE TIME i take it in the pool, i'd listen to some alt, alt-metal while doing laps. and if i ever get around to it, i'll get one of those ghey looking arm bands or whatever so i can listen while pumpin' the iron instead of the "mix 98.5" crap they have on in there.

the only music in the world of course: METALLICA.
listen to DragonForce, then coem back to me and tell me which is the better metal band. the bulk of mettalica i think lays within Rob's bass playing. bass is the anchor for the guitar, and the link between the drums and guitar. not only does this guy keep all of that band in unison, he actually does it really ****ign well. not many peope can play the song Battery pluckign with 3 fingers, but the guy plays a 5-string and can easiyl pluck it with two if he wanted too. i like metallica, btu they sure as hell ain't no DragonForce. DF plays wicked fast speed metal, technically, and fluidly. nt to metnion their bass player is just as good as Rob, it nto better. i think they are the onyl band wiht two guitar players that actually can play in tune and at the same timing. if you lisen to their stuff, you'll understand hwo hard that is to do, but these guys do ti with smiles on their faces, for 7 min straight, and barly break a sweat.
it all depends on my mood. if i'm running or biking or something it can be anything from wu tang to some steve miller band, but if i'm in the gym its gotta be something techno or trance, something that just repeats. i recommend primal scream.

i was into listening to rap and hip/hop while running for a while (like jay-z, missy elliott, n.e.r.d., kanye west) when i just got back into it, but now i'm into more upbeat alternative punk stuff or whatever (i'm bad with genres, ok) like motion city soundtrack, panic! at the disco, some taking back sunday, etc.

99 Problems is one of my favorites to work out to. It used to come on the radio a lot at the gym when I was boxing so it reminds me of getting all amped up. That, and I like it cause I think of that song every time one of my friends complains about some girl problem. And I think to myself "sucker, I don't have that problem."

thats what i listen to mostly when I work out.. Most people think its odd but it does keep my going.
Ive started something most ppl laugh at but.. I do segments of 100 pushups to add up to 1000 a day same with situps and then I'll do 2 to 3 days a week in the weightroom. I have made a drastic difference in muscle composition.
