i could see fanny packs coming back in. that would be funny tho
kelly

the key is to start wearing them slightly before they become cool again so you can say you did it first.

fanny packs are so lame I will never where one of them unless I see some pro in a vid with one on then I will where one every day.lol im jk. the reson I want a leg bag is cuz I dont want stuff in my pockets so I just put all that stuff in the leg bag and a fanny pack is pretty much in the same place as your pockets if you where them(fanny packs) right so the right way to where them is sideways cuz that sta8 from the hood right there.

NEFFsteeze

you should deffinatly get a leg bag. I have one and its awesome. I use it all the time not just when im snowboarding. And people have been saying leg bags are gunna go out of style for over a year now and yet they keep sticking around: Because they have a purpose. I keep my car keys, season pass, cash, chap stick, and my extra lens in it.

Leg Bags go around your boot and bindings when your foot is in your binding. I don't have any pockets on the bottom of my pants.
kelly

guess it's just a failure on the part of your pants.
you're so gonna be that guy who is still hanging onto his painfully out of style legbag like the dudes who still wear fanny packs, aren't you?

dude, back in the 4th grade, we had thsi computer teahcer who always wore a purple fanny pack, but he woudl wear it backwards to it woudl hang over hsi croth, and some kids started a rumor that there was a hole cut in it were his "one-eyed trouser snake" would fit into, and when he was supposidly lookgin for a "floppy disk" he woudl actually be tugging it.
5 years later the guy was fired because some kid walkd in ot the bathroom and caught him playign wiht himself. dude was a ****ign creep!

I've seen people wear leg bags just above where their highback ends. My pants have pockets around the knee area so it's not that far apart from the binding compared to the pockets at the top of pants, or jacket pockets.

my pants have pockets about 6 inches above the hemline... they would look kinda silly with a legbag. Well, that and legbags look silly anyway.
Oh, and thanks thedude, now I'm gonna be totally creeped out by men with front fanny packs on.

Yeah some people do and if they have cargo packets then it wouldn't make any sense. But everybody i know who has one including myself wear them around their boots and highback.

Except for the extra lens, how can u not fit that stuff in 1 pocket with a zipper - either in ur pants or jacket? Pass is usually hanging somewhere visibly outside, car keys should be reduced to 1 single key/key fob while riding, n if u can't fit $ n chapstick in ur pocket.. well ..
*shrug* I realize this isn't a topic to debate in this thread, I just think they're silly n serve no purpose other than to look cool - n 'cool' is def subjective.
kelly
03-01-2006, 03:46 AM
I agree with mel... even the extra lens could probably fit easily in my jacket, I carry much more than that in my jacket pockets, what with my dorky asthma inhaler, sunscreen, and phone....

I have the little backback thing that mounts on your highback. It is very usefull and you don't have to wear anything on your body. I keep my lock, keys, tool, chapstick, and other **** in it. It is the best snowboarding accessory I have ever bought.

03-06-2006, 07:28 PM
I always seem to have tons of **** with me while riding... camera, chapstick, phone, key, neck gaiter (always ends up on/off throughout the day).... and I shove it all in my jacket and somehow look like a puffy ball.
I can see the convenience of a leg bag... but I'd look like such a gaper... I'll pass.

Yeah i could fit all that stuff in my pockets and my lens could go in my jaket. But since i ride park eevery single day and try new stuff i fall alot practicing. If all my stuff is in my pockets i have more of a chance landing on it and breaking it or somthing. If its in my legbag i don't cuz its not many times when you fall your highback hits the ground before any part of your body. And i deffinalty don't keep my car keys in my pockets cuz last year one of my friends went off a jump and tried to go cork and never came out of it and landed on his side on the landing and his car keys when into his leg.

i leave my car keys in my car haha please dont steal it, um i keep a lense in case it gets cloudy, a leash incase the resort is ****, fruit snacks, and a small tool in my legbag, i dont like carrying thigns in my pocket bwecause i slame hard alot trying new tricks, and i dont want it digging into me or poking a hole in my snowpants or breaking, nah'm sayin?

Leg bags are some stupid looking' dumb sh!t!
I have to agree, I think they look dumb. I think a good fanny pack has more function then that. I am all about use and function, style in packs and some other stuff only can go so far. those leg bags look as lame as a bandanna tied to a binding. :|
I am a slave to comfort and function.
elmoiscool45

the bandana comes attached to ride spis when you buy them so basically your not doing anything special to put it on. Just to lazy to take it off.

Man DZ You must hate me, I have a leg bag AND Ride SPi's.
Id rather wear a leg bag then a fanny pack.. they are out of the way more and dont bounch around when landing jumps, and you cant fall on them and land on top of them. And the bandana on my bindings? Came with it, its sewn on, not just tied, and im too lazy to cut it off.

I think the fanny pack would have been cooler had it not been called a "fanny pack"... It was the naming of that item that spelled it's demise.

Airblaster's rad and their new outerwear has very high waterproofing ratings, but I don't know if I could bring myselt to rock a legbag. Maybe one for my neck. It's kinda tempting though 'cuz I've had keys and boarding tools damn near put holes in my body from landing wrong with them jabbing me. Nobody lands on the side of their calves, so even a small camera would be safe in a legbag.
Anyhow, the new one is called a leg fanny, I think. A fanny pack for your leg. That's about as kooky as it gets, but I'd rather see a kid rocking a leg fanny than a bandana and knee-level sagging jeans thinking he's all gangsta doing suburban snow sports.
