Robotfood is no more, last I heard. Pierre and Travis decided they'd quit while they were ahead, because everyone agrees (skiers and snowboarders) that Lame and Afterlame are the best movies ever made, out of both sports.

Whats better then? The Whiskey videos? ...maybe. Projekt Haakonsen?... eh, its possible. but if you look at the editing, the riding quality, the insight into the industry, the art, and the personality in it, not much comes close.

Projekt Haakonsen?... eh, its possible. but if you look at the editing, the riding quality, the insight into the industry, the art, and the personality in it, not much comes close.I much prefer Standard Films and Absinthe Films movies to the Robot Food movies. I really don't like the Robot Food movies much, and don't see what people get so excited about.
To say that 'everyone agrees (skiers and snowboarders) that Lame and Afterlame are the best movies ever made, out of both sports' is crap. Maybe that's is your personal opinion, but it is not the opinion of 'everyone' as you state.
I know plenty of people that think the Standard Films movies are the best ever made.
And I seriously doubt that any skiers are going to think a snowboarding movie is the best movie ever made.
You are just talking sh!t, it is all based on personal preference, that statement is just wrong.

actually, if you would go onto newschoolers.com, the big ski forum, they've had several threads about this, and the majority was Lame was the best. Now, as for the snowboarding world, in both Transworld Snowboarding and in Snowboarder magazines they've had polls about it... both times Lame won. Yes, 'everybody' was really generalizing, sorry to hurt your feelings. And yes, we are arguing opinion, I'm just stating what I believe and what I know.

yeah the reason that i lov ethe robot food movies so much is that. they have those interviews the whole time and theres more than just snowboarding liek Mr. Shred said theres personality.i odnt really liek movies with rider parts and stuff the group sessions are where its at a lot of other film companies after doing this now too. MDP did this this year in the travel version of their movies from___, with love

Yes, you are right, sorry. I shouldn't be able to form my own opinion, I should just follow the opinions of polls in Transworld and Snowboarder magazines. Also, I must not count as someone in your 'everyone'.
How could I forget that a poll in Transworld and Snowboard magazines represents the opinions of 'everyone' in the snowboarding community.
Get fu cking real!!! Those 2 magazines and a skier website poll are NOT representative of 'everyone' in the snowboard community.
Maybe that opinion is representative of riders that buy those magazines, but what percentage of total riders in the world ('everyone') purchase those magazines, and then reply to the polls? I would guess that it is not 'everyone' that rides, and that the demographic is probably mainly young male riders, who like the Robot Food style.
I still don't believe that the majority of skiers would rate a snowboarding movie as the best movie in the world.
My feelings are not hurt, you are just talking sh!t!

Sorry bro, didn't know it was a touchy subject. Saying 'everyone' was a little broad, yes, but at least I can back up my info. Prove your point, then I'll maybe agree that the demographics on the mag polls are incorrect. And yes, its true, a lot of skiers believe that Lame and Afterlame are the best out of both sports. I don't understand how I'm talking ****, I'm actually backing up my claims with facts. I guess we agree to disagree then. The demographics on those polls arent worldwide, they're just North America and a few European readers, which is flawed, yes, but the majority of riders are also in the same regions. I'm also a Park rider, whereas you're a Powder rider, which could also contribute to the fact that we disagree. What do you think is the best video ever?

Well.. I'll add this... Afterlame is my favorite snowboard vid of all time. And if I'm representative of at least 10 other people that haven't stated their opinion... then, I count for 10.
DC Mtn Lab being a close second, which is a relative to Robot Food.
I do like other movies like FutureProof and White Balance... But Afterlame, Lame, Afterbang... It's just my style of music maybe.

You are the one claiming that 'everyone' thinks that Lame and Afterlame are the best movies ever made. I do not think they are the best movies ever made. Therefore, it is not true to say that 'everyone agrees (skiers and snowboarders) that Lame and Afterlame are the best movies ever made, out of both sports'.
There is your proof! You can not back up your claim that 'everyone' agrees they are the best, only that a majority of respondents to a small poll from the Transworld and Snowboarder mags think they are the best. This is NOT 'everyone'!!!
Where is your proof to backup your claim that 'everyone' agrees that these movies are the best? You are offering facts based on poll respondents from two magazines that rate these as the best movies, but even then I do not believe that 'everyone' that responded to that poll listed those 2 movies as the best, simply that those 2 movies rated the highest out of the poll responses.
I am not saying that demographics are incorrect, I am saying that there are certain people that buy those mags and respond to the polls, in certain countries as you point out, and that visit that website, but this is not representative of the whole snowboarding community, only of those people that buy the mags and bother to respond to the poll, or that visit that website.
You are talking sh!t...not 'everyone' agrees that they are the best movies ever made.
Like I said, I like the Standard and Absinthe style of films, that is my opinion, I am not trying to state that 'everyone' thinks these films are the best movies ever made, because I know that is not a true statement.
If you want to believe that everything that Transworld and Snowboarder mags tell you is the absolute truth, then go ahead, but you are wrong.
I'm not going to argue anymore, you obviously can't accept that your statement is incorrect, so you keep on believing that 'everyone agrees' that they are the best movies, if that makes you feel better.

OK Simon…. the kid is 16 cut him a break. Why the tirade? When I was 16, "everyone" to me was my peer group. It didn't extend beyond that. I don’t think anyone ever means “everyone” literally when they use it. So stop being an nit-picker and move on.

alright dude, if you'd ****ing read my post, you'd notice that i apologized for saying 'everyone'. quit being a little bitch, seriously. also, you'd notice quite a few other points i made, like 'the majority of the snowboarding community is in the North America and European area where these mags are sold'. i think i'm being a little more mature then you are on this subject. so, let me correct my original post: everything that i've read, heard, and the opinion of everyone i've ever met and talked to on the subject believes and agrees that lame and afterlame are as good as it gets. also, most people on this thread have at least semi-agreed with me, further proving my point that MOST people like Robotfood. now, dont get me wrong, standard, absinthe, mack dawg, fyc, all have made amazing videos too. after this post i'm done arguing on such a pointless topic, because i just realized how retarded this whole thing is.

oh yeah, actually i just have to correct your last sentence, 'you cant accept that you are wrong' haha...... i think apologizing pretty much covered that. and i think i've apologized like 3 times now dude....
