Why does it cost so much to kill a person?
From what I know, they actually have to bring three people, trained in deadly medicines, to kill a person. it costs money to train these people, it costs money for the materials used in the lethal injection, it costs a great deal of time and money for the whole procedure in general.
Why does anyone have to be trained extensively to give someone a shot that is going to kill a person anyway? Why is it so hard to find a way of death that's quick, painless and not expensive? the people being put to death have, presumably, killed one or more people, and I can't imagine it would be that hard to think of methods of killing that aren't as complicated.
I don't get it.

i dont know how much it costs. but i believe it costs more to kill a person on death row, than to have him in jail for the rest of his life. orit could be the other way around..... guess this post isent too helpful, il try looking it up.

The goverment shouldn't be in the business of killing people although it seems as if Bush and his cronies do that better than anything else.

I saw a commercial or something on TV last night and it was saying stuff like, "If America is so bad, why are people "dying" to come here?"
If you think about it, that sucks.

although I'm not for death penalty, what's with the lethal injection and electric chair bs. If they are going to sentence somebody for murder, they should just have firing squad or a bullet to the head. Fast and simple.

All I'm going to say is if, Dr. Kavorkian has (seemingly) found a humane way to Euthanise people, how come we just can't use his methods?

Ok, so the little girl jessica lunsford who 10 years old who was strangled with wire, tied up and raped repeatedly...only to be put inside a bag and buried alive, her killer shouldnt be killed by the government? As far as im concerned people who commit these horrendous crimes should die in the fashion in which their victims did. Bush and his cronies? Whats life like WAY OUT THERE?

Not sure on exact numbers regarding the cost of it, but the estimates I found all say that it's spelled "lethal."
Like I said the world would be a better place with out these types of people. I think China is by firing squad and they make the relative of the prisoner pay for the bullets!!

lol, burned...
lethal injection SEEMS a little bit more humaine than just hanging them or using a guillotine. but if we are talkign cost effectiveness... march them up to the top of a really tall building and push them.
either way, all of it is brutal, because you kill someone. there is no "pleasent" way to kill anyone.
