Alright, so I went to Best Buy and ended up buying a Belkin Wireless G Plus MIMO router and PCMCIA card.
Went through the installation exactly as told and get an error during installation that my computer cannot communicate with the router (awesome). So, after trying a few things I called tech support.
After having me try a few things, tech support tells me that there is a problem with my network card and I need to have it looked at. By this time I was frustrated with the guy and didn't feel like arguing with him. How can there possibly be something wrong with my network card when it gets me online just fine without the router inbetween my modem and my computer??
Would you:
A) Call tech support back, tell them they're a bunch of idiots, and ask for an intelligent solution (i know, fat chance)
or
B) Return the router and get a different brand
or
C) Is it really possible there's something wrong with my network card? (I doubt it, but I don't know everything)
Suggestions?
