I'm getting a serious urge to get on a board again since joining here, so was wondering if anyone's checked out any of the indoor snow joints in the UK? I could get to Milton Keynes or the new Glasgow (if I visit the folks and blag the car) Xscape places, are they any cop? Need to find something as dry slope is **** and the last time I did that my mate left with his arm in several bits!
Any advice much appreciated.

Haha, maybe should have made that a bit clearer! I live in London, and could get to Milton Keynes easily enough (I think that's the closest one to me). However, I'm actually from Glasgow, and head back up to visit the folks and old friends every other month or so, so I could squeeze in a visit to the brand new Xscape dome while I'm there. Just wondering what they're like, but I'll probably end up going anyway...
I really enjoy tamworth...but then im biased as that the is the only one ive been too..and i am also just finding my legs on a board...my boyfriend who is a lot more experienced gets bored quite easily unless it is a kicker night.
...i have heard alot of good things about milton keynes...and im gona go try it out soon it think...was at Tamworth just the other day...i really enjoyed it...but ached sooooooooooo much two days after hehe

There is a dome in Landgraf Holland called Snowworld that rocks. They usually have a good park and the bar there is tight. It might be a bit of a trip from the UK but they like Americans and the English there and it is always a good time.

Definitely worth visiting Braehead Xscape. That said, I'm also a member of Bellahouston Dry Slope, but sometimes it takes the snow to give you that confidence to push yourself. Too many falls on dendix almost put me off.

i took some lessons at Braehead which were ok but its just a short narrow slope as much as i hate to say it if you're coming up this way you'd be better heading to the slope at Hillend cos at least it'll take you more than 2 secs to board down it even if it is on mats.
although if you're looking to improve your technique (sp?) or go some freestyling then yeh i'd hit braehead.

Xscape is good for keeping your eye in, but it gets boring after a while unless your trying something new on every single run.....and it almost becomes ice after about an hour..my nearest is Castleford and its smaller than Milton Keynes apparently.

Milton Keynes xscape is free since all the people that work there are to retarded to check if you have a ticket or not. I can't believe I payed 30 poundz or $60 and not one single person checked me if I had a ticket or not.
While it fixed my snowboarding fix it just wasn't the same as being on a mountain.
