I went to the snowdome last monday...and am going again this friday. I was sooooooooooo wobbly and nervous fro some reason...spent a bit of time on my arse but after an hour was perfecting my link turns...nearly there! (I am SO rubbish hehe)
After a few more secret visits early morning...i should be feeling confident enough to let other people see me board haha, so if any of you locals fancied a meet up...thatd be awesome

...its just a wee bit of a trek from where you are to Tamworth in England! And considering it would take you less time to travel to an actual mountain...id worry about your mental health ..hehe. But the more the merrier lol

really? Whenever i get around americans i suddenly feel like i have a thousand marbles in my mouth...it odd especially as i have quite a common English accent.
Im trying to get the friends of mine that board onto here...but most of them are computer illiterate, too stubborn to let me show them how to use one...and all think im a nerd for liking spending so much time on this site and myspace.
Theres just no accounting for bad taste!

I just checked out the Snowdome website (http://www.snowdome.co.uk/)... it looks pretty cool. How long is that run? Does it get super busy? I bet it's a great place to hone your skills as a beginning rider.

It is really good for beginners...not a particularly long run...but its kind of curved...long enough to do a good few link turns down. It gets really busy on the nights when they get all the kickers out, and they have a vert and stuff...there is a nightclub attached too, and they play load music on the slope. Havnt been to a jump night yet as im still in the early stages. I go really early in the morning before the crowds...so i can have free reign!!!

All information that I was able to find indicates that while there are currently no snowdomes in the US, there are at least four that are being planned or built in New Jersey, Kansas, Mississippi, and Vegas. Google search, snowdomes + US. Also, there is a fairly decent article on snowdomes in Snowboarder Magazine's March '05 issue.
i dont nkow the ins and outs of it...but i shall pop along one tuesday evening and investigate!!! ill get my camera phone out and go undercover for you guys!

4 investors in dallas have already planned there "indoor mountain" as they call it ... they have the money and everything. it was in the paper a few months ago ... and the cooler thing is, its gonna be an indoor park ... jumps, rails, and all!! no word on when its gonna go up tho *shrugs*

Sod-off, Yes I know it's spelled Wanker, but the slang is Wanka. I don't bugger **** up that much, a little credit. Brit slang is the dog's bollocks, cuz nobody here understands it. Ya pick it up abit once your around it for so long. That and watching LiverPool!!!!!! sucks about Cisse, guy has no luck at all.
"dodgy" seems to be a bit of Brit slang that always confuses americans...i always had to explain my self when i used it around them.
I cant understand most english slang!! (some english accents are naaaaaasty!)

Pikey!!! Some sounds like ya have marbles in there mouths and are trying to talk as fast as they can. As far as Dodgy, americans really don't know what that means?? I used that even before I met any Brits. Well that's Yampy Yanks for ya. I feel ashamed, we have slang like and skeet, whips, slimmy. I'm not very good with US slang cuz most of it comes from Hip-Hop and I'm not a big listener.
Pikey/chav/jippo heheh what is with the marbles thing...ive been told that before...thats only very posh accents.
I cant understand why guys find english accents hot...we either sound stuck up and posh, or common as muck

Jippo, haven't heard that word in a long time. Not even marbles, just kinda like your talkin really fast w/ your mouth full. See I would have to say Elegant instead of stuck up and posh. Being stuck up and posh over here means ya can't hold a conversation and say like 30 times followed by an OH MY GOD or a SHUT UP!!. people like accents cuz they are exotic to them, not the norm. That added in with the cool slang is music to us Yanks Ears. Or at least alot of em.

Holla! were heading to tammers monday night as its a bank hol, not over the moon with going at like 7 or 8 o'clock but the lady friend is finishing her lessons so we thought we'd head on in to keep on our game...haha
