An Inconvenient Truth

This might be better in the polics forum, but what the hell.....I am sure everyone has SOME opininion on this film by Al Gore either way. So lets put on the flame proof suits and have at it.
I am going to go see this as soon as it is in theatres in Portland. I read the book and I agree with Al Gore on this one...always have. My position is that we are upsetting the balance in a dangerous way and we are in for an exciting ride as a result.
I think we should put politics totally aside and look at this as a purely scientific debate about the data and the theories. Even if there is disagreement, his data is well documented, his conclusions are logical and even if he is wrong, his efforts are valuable in the scientific research of what in the hell is going on exactly with our climate. Chime in on this one pro or con and lets try not to light the entire website on fire!

no idea about gore but if he wants to take action against global warming good because bush (and alaska senators, even) aren't doing **** about it because they don't think it is important...well there used to always be snow on halloween in alaska but for the past 3 or 4 years it's not snowing until weeks after halloween, so you may think that's unscientific B.S. but it means something to me because i can see my winters getting shorter but nobody is doing anything about it.

wow i jsut watched the trailor on you tube; very interesting video and a must see.. about the comment the fag "snowdude" said who cares if u dont like him politics cant get into the way of our future and what can happen.. this kid and i were debating about this topic and he said that the government realeased a report saying that the ozone layer was "eating itself up" and that humans had no invovlment with global warming.... and i thougt what a crock of **** the governemtn is lieing to us AGAIN.. but to have some guy with the balls to make a video about this and show it to the public is amazing. and GORE WAS OUR NEXT PRESIDENT except got cheated by bush's brother in his brother's state of florida

You guys give me some hope for the future!!
I have the book and what it shows is truly alarming...all the data and photo evidence just cannot be ignored except by the perpetually ignorant!
I hope you guys represent the mindset of the majority in your generation...if so, we may be able to save our planet before it is too late!
