i think after two balckouts i think its important to eat breakfast. so i learned the hard way that it is important to eat some type of breakfast. ya i blacked out this morning after horseback riding fun stuff not. last time i blacked out it was after horseback riding luckly i had just got off the horse. ya so when your parents/friends/room mates say eat breakfast do it. ok so ya it is a random thread but just to show how breakfast is an important meal.

breakfast should actually be your heartiest meal. it sets your stomach up for the rest of the day's meals. how true this is, i dont' know but i read it somewhere.

I read somewhere that it jumps starts your metobolism in the morning, so for those wanting to lose weight its actually BETTER to eat breakfast than skip that meal. I've also heard that it's the most important meal of the day, etc.

It is better to eat breakfast if you're trying to lose weight. People that don't eat breakfast in the morning have a tendency to eat more throughout the day than they would have if they ate breakfast.

i always work out in the morning. i swim about a mile 3 days and do weights the other 2. i never eat before that cuz 1) i start at around 6 am, and 2) i'd hurl if i did. could be a mess in the pool...
i used to just be so thirsty i'd drink about a gallon of water after that, but never really ate much. i'm learning that it's a bad idea. i hired this college kid (friend of ours) as a trainer, and he almost dropped dead when i told him i didn't eat breakfast. he and my wife are forcing me into it, but i think they're right. after working out i feel like i could snarf down a burger. i'm trying protein bars now. seems to help me not feel as starved at lunch.

Yes, If you eat a well portioned Breakfast it starts up your metabolism so it's still going by the time you eat again. And You'll be more Alert throughout the day you eat Breakfast on a DAILY basis. At least that's what my Dietician told me, she helps me w/ my Hypoglycemic. I need SUGARRR. And Breakfast is best for Hangovers. Hmm Sausage Gravy and Biscuits.

Sry, lemme rephrase. I have low blood sugar and pass out if I don't eat. My ritual before ride breakfast was always 2 McGriddles, 2 Hash Browns and a large OJ. Hmmm, nothin like a McD's High.

Ya should see me eat 2 Barbakoa Burrittos at Chipolte, that's Fatty. Or 2 Double quarter pounders w/ cheese, that's gluttony. I use to be able to polish off 8 Jr. Bacon Cheeseburgers. My favorite is 2 Double Doubles Animal Style!!! Yaaaa. I have a supercharged Metabolism thankfully.

As for brekkie....you gotta have breakfast it totally sets up your metabolism for the day( someone else said that) and I agree. I have wholegrain toast with banana or museli or whatever not really cause its healthy but if i don't eat something wholesome I am STARVING withing half an hour of getting to work.

I have to wait for a bit after gettin up though, can't eat straight away!

I usually eat (one sitting):

Bowl of Cereal (cherrios, corn flakes, raisin bran, non of that fruity sugar crap)
Piece of Fruit (depends what I feel like)
Glass of orange juice
annnd a protein shake

Gotta eat breakfast everyday. You'd be suprised how much better it makes you feel overall.

Whey Protein?? It's abit chalky, but through in some vanilla Ice cream, a naner or two, yogurt, a splash of juice and your set. Although Nitrotech isn't too bad on it's own.

yeah, I don't mind the taste really. I don't really notice it anymore. I usually just go and mix a cup of orange juice, a few ice cubes, and some vanilla protein (stated in the weight lifting thread). That's usually the easiest for me since Im already drinking orange juice every morning.

i've been making smoothies. I find them to be filling and i get my 5 servings of fruit and vegetables in. In a blender i squeeze two oranges because fresh squeezed is the way to go. Throw in a banana. Some strawberries and pineapples and a little ice and there ya go. Sometimes i freeze the banana and strawberries before hand so i don't gotta use ice. It taste good.

b4 i hit the slopes i jsut grab anything i can get if im in a hurry usually put cerial in a cup with milk... easy to brig and throw away and u can drink it! but if theres no rush a good breakfast burrito is da bomb!!!! and oj cant forget oj. good ****. then pack some bars for l8r.

actually, if you eat breakfast you will be more hungry throughout the day and probably eat more, but it speeds up ur metabolism for the day, so you burn more. and if you are looking to lose weight, then skip dinner, or eat a really light dinner, cuz thats what i did for wrestling [except when i needed to lose a ton, in which case i de-hydrated myself a ton. and that is not healthy but hey, it worked] lol.

They have a chocolate cappaccino and whey protein shake, and a vanilla, chai tea, and soy protein shake. all natural ingredients, and they taste soo good. i liek the soy one the best. each bottle contains about 42g of protein in both of them. f you want, they got a website, and they also have a ton of other shakes and smoothies, all are very healthy for ya to.

I've also used protien bars (like candy bars but made with protein and all). I buy a box or 2 at a time and just grab one when I leave in the morning if I don't have time to eat something at home.

for some odd reason after my freshman year of college, i've gotten in the bad habit of skipping breakfast. recently i've just been eating one meal a day... lunch.
it's usually a big lunch.

i know i should have something for breakfast, but every morning all i find myself doing is drinking a glass of orange juice and a glass of milk.

Yeah I have that problem too... I normally make a soy latte after I run and if I don't have time I grab a larabar (God's gift to vegans... entirely rawfood meal bars that are all vegan and taste pretty good)

when i wnna loose weight i dirnk alot of water.. like a bottle with em 24.7 and only eat like 4-600 caleries a day.

on the other hand when i bulk up i eat about 10k calories a day... so it aldepends on the season

I do the water thing every once in a while... but then again the vegan thing isnt for health reason... the only thing I miss is not having to bake my own bread... It was hard to start (I spent 5 years as a veggie) but after I learned what I could and couldn't eat it was simple...

I've been a vegeterian all my life (born and raised). It's not too bad. Yeah people say I should go vegan, but I just don't see a reason too. Now before you guys jump all over me, yes I know that it still hurts the animals/is bad for you to eat some if not all dairy products. But it's just my lifestyle.

Wait are we talking organic or free range? A lot of organic animals are not by any means allowed to roam free... free range they are sort of... in theory they are at a lot of farms they are only allowed out for like 30 mins every day

Oh and I don't jump all over people for not being vegan or vegetarian for that matter. It is their choice. I made mine without other people telling me to and others can make theirs in my oppinion

plus im spanish... small breakfast late lunch nap, snack... dinner at 10... bed at 2... up at 10 and start over... i usually skip the first 3

and i cant really feel for all the animal rights peta vegan Sebastopol (have to be from the north bay) people out there because one of my favorite things is lamb and another is duck pate.... pate is made from the fattened liver of force fed ducks. sorry guys it tastes good!

so sorry man I have to disagree . I was staying late onday after school, I was soo hungry probaly from not eating breakfast my teach offered me one and I turned it down . the smell of those things make me feel sickly.

I have my galbladder out in feb. worst valentines present ever. since then I have ragin heart burn sometimes so bad I get sick. So in that state putting anything in the belly feels gross. but I dont like the sickly feeling a few hours later from not eating.
So recently I have gotten into protien bars ,granola bars and drinking those meal replacment drinks with fos in them to help the digestive tract. there not bad.

They arent all organic!! Read the ingredients... They are all natural but not certified organic i believe... I dont know exactly but I eat almost all organic so I dont eat them... They have all kinds of additives... Larabars and thinkorganic bars on the other hand are all organic vegan rawfood... and they are amazing...

I like the old fashioned oats not the instant, toss in a little brown sugar and milk and you have a great breakfast.

Actually eating breakfast will make you eat less throught the day. As your blood sugar drops you start to become hungry. In the morning it is very low to begin with and will continue to drop until you eat. Typically the lower it goes the hungrier you get leading to eating a huge meal. Now a huge breakfast is generally not needed, I typically have around 300 calories for breakfast and keeps me going for 3-4 hours, when I have a small snack.

Now years ago I did not eat in the morning and by lunch I was starving and ate a huge lunch, which would have more calories in it then the few small meals I eat now. So eating smaller meals keeps me feeling full so I do not eat huge meals, so for me breakfast works.

I don't really like much breakfast food, and i'd rather eat something like a burger or a salad for breakfast than eggs or something. I'm not sure why but I like the dinner and lunch food for breakfast too. Probably better for you anyways because it isn't as sweet.

For me it has lately been a Pop-Tart and a Protein Strawberry Banana Shake. When i actually wake up at a reasonable hour its 3 fried eggs, and Sourdough Toast.
