I have a Nixon that's continuously worked for about two years now. Aside from scratches (which IMO are completely unavoidable) it's extremely great.

nixon is over rated, everyone had them. i bought and odessa last summer and you wouldnt believe how many people complement me on it and ask where you can get them.

I don't mean to bring up old threads, but I was looking at a certain nixon watch and I was wondering if anyone had any experiences with them. The watch is the ceramic player.
Anyone have it or know someone that does? How does it hold up and does the band scratch easily? Those are my main concerns.

^heh thats actually my favorite watch. You cant have that one cause then we'll be watch twins!
I like Nixon, they arent expensive... not exactly a "nice" watch, but i sure dont need a $600-5000 watch to know i'm a Play'a!

mine got pretty beat up... but then again I'm pretty rough with everything i own.
If you take care of it and dont wear it out to do somthing stupid, IE like weld, cut, and build rails... then it will be OK.
I just took mine in and got it re-powder coated. it should last you a good long time for just normal everyday going out, to meetings and in the office type setting. If your a construction worker... get a cheapy to take to work.

^oh kinda on that topic though... my buddy got a normal silver band... and got bored with it and had each band piece annodized a different color... that turned out pretty cool.

ummm actually i get my powder coating and annodizing done at a machine shop / paint shop for cars. But he also did my paintball guns and parts when i did that years ago.
You can find a place but no not jewelry stores and such. I spend about $500 a year with my guy powder coating random sheat so he does small things like that for free... probably will cost you $40 to get em all done, if you scratched it up bad.

$122 shipped but I had a $25 paypal gift card so it came out to $97.
Holy Sh!t, I didn't realize the player ceramic was $1,300. I saw that and was like, ok maybe I will just stick to the standard player.....haha.

I was bartending the other night and I shattered my Player. If you can get a Player for under $85(that's what I can get them for) than I will buy it.

I worked at EB. We paid cost plus 7% for anything in the store. I still get a hook on most things.
