I was in a relationship... but you know the saying "Never teach your girlfriend how to snowboard?" Well, it's even more true for "Never teach your boyfriend how to snowboard!" We just kept getting into fights... not worth it.

:-D

Todd
05-19-2005, 03:20 AM
Yeah , she got it all , i left with a tv & a rocking chair for the past 18 years of my life , thats it , the hardest part was when i had to turn my back , get in my truck & drive away from my 6 year old little girl & 12 year old boy when i was playing with them outside, it still hurts . wake boarding & snow boarding are my favorite things to do , catching air & doing some cool trick . thats the only relief i get from the mental torment of not being to hold my little girl or play with them when i want to .

Thanks for listening

Starting to think I'm too old to find someone to be with, maybe it's cause I just don't get out at all.

In a relationship and absolutely loving it...

I started going out with her at about mid-sophmore year, and now I am a month away from being a junior and I can't believe how much I could like someone...

Not sure if its love, lol, cause I don't want to sound like a "dumb kid who doesn't know what he's talking about", but i have had a lot of gf's in the past and have never had the feeling i get around my current gf...

anyway, its 2 am, im a bit tipsy, and im pouring out my heart on the internet....time for some sleep.

lol, i know man. i thik i told a joke that kinda relates to this and i posted it in another thread somewhere. i can't remember which thread but i remember the joke.

marriage is liek a three ring circus. first the engagment ring, then the wedding ring, and then the suffering.

in marriage, there is always compromise. for my neighbors 15 anivarsary he wanted a sport car, and the wife wanted the fur coat. well, they got the fur coat and the keep ti in teh garage.

rule of thumb: the missess will always spend more than oyu make, so when she wanst to knwo how much you make per year, tell her only half of what you make!

you'de be suprised. late night on Cartoon network they have a shwo called Toon Heads that playes old cartoons and has little sid facst about each cartoon. and sometimes they just have the old cartoons playing. i havent' watched in awhile, btu i knwo they exist. nothing beats old cartoons. the one i am sick of though is Scooby Doo, it's on Cartoon Network way to muhc. like they play the old stuff for an hour, then they play A Pup Named Scooby doo, then Scooby Movies, and it just gets really played out. i mean, hwo many times can "alright gang, lets split up. Pshah, all these 19 year olds talking about the 80's - if you were born in 1986, how much of the 80's can you really remember? I think y'all are just in denial because you know the Gummi Bears were cooler than the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

i know, how can you say you grew up in the 80's when you were born in 86. i don't get it either. it's like me saying i grew up in the 70's.
if you want good old school cartoons like the real tom and jerry, loony toons and all the good stuff. go to boomerang tv network. i have it on Direct tv. i make my niece and nephew watch it if they want to watch cartoons. i hate that sponge bob queer pants stuff!

My last two relationships were long distance. The last one was in NYC so that doesn't really count cause NYC is like a second home. The one before that, my gf went away to college in Winnipeg. It was kind of rough but it was love. Then I realized that love is stupid.

but my current g/f hasen't put me through this **** type of **** at all, she just gets angry when i don't do the tiny little favors that i never think of doing. her stuff is muhc easier to deal wiht than my ex's. holy ****, if i ever see that girl again, i am runnign! lol

yeah Josh did kinda the same thing with me. last winter he did not want to go do anything unless it benefited him. the one time he actually asked if i wanted to go do something he asked if i wanted to go up to the local ski area and go boarding. needless to say i said yes. but then some things came up and i was not sure if i could go, i really did not like that ski area all that much anyway. but he got all bumbed so i made it work. we get up there and all his friends are there with their youth group right... he did not want to do anything with me, he just wanted a ride up to the slopes. at least thats how it seemed. once we met up with them it was like i was not there. his friends talked to me all kinds but he was an ass. i got pissed and rode most of the day way ahead of them. but yeah, he did a lot of stupid **** like that. i feel really dumb for putting up with it for so long. i just kept saying, "o, well i'll give it another month...it will get better". i was a real dumbass.

Damn, I thought I had it bad when I was in college and trying to date a guy that was three hours away by train. I give you props for trying to make that work.

Met my husband at the local ski resort. I taught, he worked in the shop. 3 1/2 years later still together. Married for a year, and for 1/2 that year he was on deployment in the Gulf. He missed the season, but he got to ride in the Snowdome in Dubai, while I got to ride here. Anyway, there is love to be found on the mountain, u just gotta look!

Same here. And the funny thing is, Chica and I both started dating our boyfriends within maybe two weeks of each other.

(This happened once the season ended. Coincidence? :))

Im still lookin for a girl that can shred and keep up. My last gf was a total steezkill and wouldnt even try snowboarding eventually by the time the second winter that we were together for rolled around i told her it just wasnt gonna work and ive been single since. Hit me up on myspace if ur just lookin for someone to shred with me and my friends are always lookin for people to chill with, mostly we chill in the poconos and try to find local parties afterwards.

I've had a very wonderful thirteen year relationship with my right hand.

I'm sad to say, I haven't been faithful to it however for the entirety of that relationship, but it's always been forgiving and willing to take me back.

Not at all.... when I was single, I was quite happy being single. Like I said. Had I had a BF during snow season... I would have been confused. As a matter of fact, I'm not looking forward to this season since my bf lives in DC and I live in Philly, the mountains are obviously north of here, and my bestest riding buddy lives in Brooklyn. When I was single, there were no issues!

i have been with my gf for almost 2.5 years now...

at the end of the 04/05 season she went up to the mountain with some of her friends who snowboard to see what all the hoopla was about and to see why i enjoy riding as much as i do (prior to this, she had been a skiier for most of her life). she said that she really liked it despite falling all over the place. then at the beginning of the 05/06 season i took a gamble and got her a board, boots, and bindings and took her up to mammoth with me opening weekend and over the course of a couple trips, i taught her how to ride. she had a lot of fun. she ended up getting way into it.

we ended up breaking up at the beginning of 06 because i was being a **** but we still hung out to ride the local mountain (bear mountain) because none of her friends wanted to go all the time like she did. and then as the season ended i was pretty sure i wasn't gonna see her anymore... but then she decided that she wanted to give me another chance. so in effect, snowboarding saved my relationship. score. now i know not to be a ****.
