Live action movie coming out next fourth of july by Michael Bay.
I saw the preview for this when I went to see Pirates and proceeded to geek out. I hope it's good; I'm looking forward to it.
other than snowboarding, transformers are my other love...
you should see how crazy the internerds are getting about it. a picture of optimus prime was leaked a couple nights ago and they proceeded to freak out - and generally, not in a good way.

I saw it the same time... well not with u but b4 the pirates movie hehe. The trailer confused me at first. I thought it was gonna be some weird sci fi movie how mars takes over earth hehe.
I read part of a script leak the other day seems interesting.
it's been confirmed to be a fake.

i think i read that script too and to tell you the truth, i thought that if the movie was gonna be like that i think it'd rock.. but i read in some interview a little later that michael bay wanted to stay away from the original cartoons, and he straight up said that the leaked script on the internet was a fake.

Eh its ok I have a G.I joe collection worth about 20 grand so I have no room to talk. Also I'm upset my mom tossed all my original transformers that my brother and I ordered from Japan.

yeah... i feel you on that one. i went home to visit while i was in college and i found out that my mom donated all of my g.i. joes to the salvation army. not that it's a bad thing, because some other kids were hopefully gonna enjoy them, but i sure would like to still have them. a lot of them were hand-me-downs from older cousins who had all of the original 1984 ones, too. oh well.

What a bunch of nerds! You guys are talking about a movie that's about a bunch of toys! Get a life!
I'd never be caught dead playing with kids toys. I'm way too cool for that. I'll give you all a few tips on how to be cool since I'm feeling generous.
1. Drink... I mean alot, usually once you've started vomiting you know your on the right track.
2. After step one try to get into a fight with someone you don't know. See if you can find a nerd, they're usually more fun to punch. Look for someone wearing a T-shirt with a video game character on it, that's a good sign. Just because they have Ryu on their shirt doesn't mean they'll be using any Ha Do Kens while your beating the tar out of them.
3. Use the F-bomb as often as you can in normal conversations.
4. Drive really fast. Traffic is just an obstacle course for you. If it gets tough it's time for you to get angry. Let other people know how much better you are than them at driving by giving them the finger as you sail past them.
5. (Guys only) Remember, girls are here for our pleasure. If they're not doing what you tell them, it's time for a new one. Sometimes girls get to thinking that they're equal to us. This is not true.
6. (Girls only) Guys are your playthings. Use them however you want. Getting them to buy you stuff you want is a good start. Sometimes guys think you owe them something once they've bought you dinner or a new car. This is not true.

I think it's awesome at the end of the trailer you just see the transformer for a second and then nothing. I'm so excited.
I used to have most of the original Star Wars action figures but my mom threw them all out. But I still have my life size obi wan kenobi cardboard cutout. which, even though i put it there, scared the **** out of me everytime i'd wake up in the middle of the night and see him standing there.

I never really had one of these kind of collections, but I did have a lot of the (origonal) Power Rangers and Batman toys. I didn't have any toys for a long time as a kid. I used to take all of those smelly markers and pretend that the markers were the power rangers their colors matched with.

I don't think you were supposed to be impressed by the trailer, I think it was supposed to pique your interest/curiosity/nerdiness.
if anyone cares, peter cullen (the voice of the original optimus prime) will be doing the voice of optimus prime in the live action movie. (i am geeking out inside right now)

yah i was watch g4tv's coverage at comicon 06 and they talked about that...pretty cool they're gonna use the og voice!
