Snowboard Video Games

Are their ever going to be any good snowboard games for PS2?
The first x-games was good, but you can only play it so much.
X-games 2002 was kinda cheesy.
Shaun Palmer is just so unrealistic.


Does anyone know if any good ones will be released?

SSX 3...unrealistic, but one of the most fun games I've ever played.

I just want a realistic game kinda like the original x-games with more levels and free roaming of levels. That would be real fun.

I'll ask my little bro he works at EB Games... but I'm in your boat man... i want realistic. None of this SSX crap. I think X-games is going to be his answer. Maybe the Amped series... even though that has a bit of stupidity also.

i think "SSX on tour" is gonna be as close to a realistic snowboarding game as you're gonna get for the PS2. no free roaming levels, and it's not really that hard of a game, but freeriding through levels (like the peak) is kinda fun after you've gone through all/most of the "missions."

they have forum, sapient, and rome boards in the game along with some other brands... burton, foursquare, and some other outerwear companies.

it has a pretty good soundtrack, too.

hmm... 2007. so i guess it'll only be out on the PS3 or xbox360... i will get a PS3 but probably not a 360 until they knock the price down substantially.

PS3 is going to be $599 for the good one. F.uck that. I am going to get the new nintendo we. It's going to be $199 and it looks fun. Plus you should wait until Sony works all the bugs out of the PS3. They released like 15 versions of the PS2. Sony needs to drop that price drastically before I buy one.

kinda sounds promising... but yeah I've pretty much given up on console gaming. Its not worth the time and energy... and they are starting to get more and more like a computer which you cant upgrade and fix.

i picked up my PS2 during its initial release and i still use it to this day (but maybe i got lucky). if i have the money when the PS3 comes out, i'll pick it up. the only thing is, if it comes out in the winter like it's said to be, i'm probably going to be blowing all of my money on gear that i don't need... so yeah, that probably isn't going to work. $599 can buy me a new board... pay for 2 trips to tahoe... yeah.
