I am using bakoda which came with the kit I bought. When it runs out I will get a different one probably. They all seem the same to me though

There is a company called hillbilly wax that has developed an environmentally friendly wax. Apparently, all of the waxes out today make their way into the snow while riding. When the snow melts, the wax goes with it getting absorbed into the earth. Therefore, releasing toxins into the water supply. Believe what you want, it was in one of the news articles on this site.

very interesting. I can't imagine it being a lot of wax coming off each board though but I guess thousands of boards hitting the surface year after year. I will have to look more into that.

How would you normally ride only using wax once. Your supposed to wax your board once every four times you go. I use One Ball Jay and Poor Boy.
Snochica thats kind of interesting. If people here in Lake Tahoe found out about that then all waxes that did that would be banned from here.

Snochica thats kind of interesting. If people here in Lake Tahoe found out about that then all waxes that did that would be banned from here.Well, it's up to us to take that bit of info and see if it's true or not. That tidbit came from the site of the company that is trying to promote their "environmentally friendly" product. So of course they're going to tell us that all other wax is toxic to the environment.
That's why it's imortant to consider your sources when reading something.

definitely hotwax, rubon doesn't work. the best wax is what matches the temp of the snow. i allway mix graphite with the right temp wax for the day.
