i have some older burton freestyles boots and they are super comfy. I ride with helly hansen jacket and pants and they have lasted 2 seasons of pretty heavy use and 2 seasons of medium to light use.
I might save up this summer and get new gear when i get a new board so i can match, i'm a freak like that, my gear has to match!

For me its not so much Company as it is quality. I would ride a liquid snowboard if they made good boards. if I had to choose a company Burton all the way. DC for boots, and Either SB, Sessions, or Planet Earth for outerware.

Gnu/ long lasting but get beat-up quickly..
M3- stong but stiff decks
Lamar- ok decks but crap designs
i want to try out Rome, Nitro, Dinosaurs Will Die.
Capita has ****ty craftsmanship but great designs
Burton has great bindings
Technine nice binding, great designs, but you have to upgrade toecaps
Flow- fit great but look stupid
i want to try out Union bindings, new Drakes w/ toecaps, Capita Cory Smith bindings
a "standard" binding w/ toecap makes me happy!!

Bataleon snowboards - hands down
I was uneasy about riding Bataleon, at first, because their base has unique shape and technology, so I bought a different board, rode it twice, and never touched it again. So far, everyone I know who has riddden a Bataleon has loved it, and most of them say it is the best board that they have had in their life. I owned a Gnu for 5 years, but I will be riding tripple base technology (Bataleon) for a long time. The only thing that sucks, is that they are REALLY hard to find right now. Bataloen.com is your best bet.
At least go to their web site, and check the graphics.

They have some kick ass graphics. As for the triple base tech... Very interesting! I'd liek to demo a board like that and see how it feels.

or you can check out grenadegloves.com and look at their online dealers and ish. I just bought a pair of hot garbages. I also decided we should get together and develop Star Trek like transporters, so that we don't have to wait for things to arrive in the mail, cause that can take an eternity when you're dying to get something....anywhoo....
