I had to buy one cause the mountain wouldn't let me get on anymore lifts without. Little do they know it's connected from my binding to uhm my binding  Is it me or are leashs a pain?

I hate leashes. Now I just cary a little rope thingy and just tie it to my binding to my boot then just untie it when I get up top.

I have never seen a snowboard going solo down the hill, but I have seen a ski rip down the hill and hit a boarder in the back. In fact that was last year on the terrain park next to the Sugar Slope lift at MC. It was so icy the little brake things were useless.
I use clicker bindings, and I have never had either binding pop off. I can't see how a strap-in could come off either, unless the bindings broke or something.
Leashes are definitly annoying. I say if I gotta use then ski-ers gotta use em too. Skis are designed to pop off on purpose. Boards don't.

Yeah leashes are a total pain... although I have to say I have actually seen someones board rollin' along downhill without them. But, I totally agree skiers should have to wear them as well.

Haha, I have seen that before too. The guy didn't even bother to go after it either, he just walked off and went into the lodge!!

i have a leash just to apease the lifties that acutaly check but haven't had that happen in a while. it just there for decoration. but i have seen a board going down with out a rider my friend was on the chair infront of me and he was fussin around with his board and it poped off and went for a while untill he jumped off the lift after it and stoped it he could have waited but with all the theft going on why would you. i probably would of waited but he was crazy

I've gotta say that I have seen ski's fall from lifts before but I've yet to see a snowboard come off someone's feet. Hmmm...kinda goes to show ya that the whole leash thing needs to be re-evaluated

yes reevaluated. they need to stop harassing snowboarders!

same here.. i dont really have a problem with leashes though... who gives a ****? you clip it on your boot when you get to the mtn... you might take it off if you hit up the lodge and then come back out and put it on... not really a pain in my mind

leashes seem to be real concern here and i hve seen boards going solo. but i could never see hw a leash helps prevent tht. ive lost mine a while ago and wanted to get some then mom asks me wht they're for and hw they work and i struggled to find her an answer.

Yeh, but it'd be a pain to have a leash on while hiking. Skiers used to have to wear leashes, but the companies figured something different out, when this lady was skiing pretty hard core, popped out, and one of her skis came up from behind and scalped her.
Yeh dude, I just made a hemp belt about a week ago, it's got a car's seatbelt buckle.

There is no such thing as a cool leash. They all suck and are pointless.
i kind of feel like a saying this, but last year was the first year that i didnt use a leash and it was sooo much easier. and no one across the whole yelled at me about it when i traveled

only queers use leashes
So the choice is to...
A) wear a leash and be able to ride the lifts at the aussie resorts, but then you would think I'm a queer.
...or...
B) not wear a leash and then not be able to ride at any aussie resort, but then at least you wouldn't think I'm a queer.
...I think I'll choose to wear a leash, ride the aussie resorts, and not give a **** about what you think.
