Is this the new thing?

So, up at Whistler today I saw something that I thought just looked silly, but to each there own. Just wondering if it's a fad that other people are witnessing at their mountains as well.

People rocking a pair of everyday shorts outside their snowboard pants. I saw a couple kids snowboarding today who weren't together that were wearing snowboarding pants, and then outside the pants they had like a pair of swim trunks. Hawaiian Style.

To clarify, I'm not talking about the skiiers who wear those stretchy nylon racing type pants, and then put a pair of waterproof shorts overtop which is something I've seen quite a bit in the past (particularily from the older generations) but actual snowboarders doing it for no apparent reason other then to wear some bright colored shorts outside their perfectly serviceable pants.

The only time I have seen this was with ski club members. People who belong to the same club wear the same shorts just so they can recognize each other. This may not be the case though.

I saw some kids at Okemo last saturday wearing basketball jerseys over their jackets. not they ones for competition [there was one up @ the NE park] but like NBA jerseys.

maybe its some layering thing. pretty much every girl I know is wearing 3 shirts daily. I personally think one shirt is enough but whatever. perhaps the trend it rubbing off on the guys.

I've seen park rats sporting the basketball jerseys with t-shirts in the spring and whatnot. Nothing wrong with that.

i go with the style of "me" yeah...its top of the line in the fashion industry..the most famous model of it goes by the name "teddy" hes pimpin...

Yeah! I saw this yesterday, only this kid wsa wearing regular Knaki (sp?) shorts, no board pants underneath. It's not a bad idea. It was 40+ degrees outside
