my input would be look into getting a K2 Darkstar, Capita Photo Collage Series, or some other park board that you can also take into the pipe if you want to.

bindings, go fro somethign that has a metal base. if nto an all metal base, you run the risk of having the base warp and twist on you while riding. there are also some that are a combi-aterial base, which looks and feels like a hard plastic, and a good set of thsoe will last you a good season. you want something that will stay ridged all day, and for the most part, all season. Ride makes some good bindings, Technine are pretty tight, Drake have a good reputation for haing quality stuff.

Basically it is your set up, but stiff bindings, and a softer flex are ideal for park. plus look into boots too. you don't want a trick set yup and gave soem stiff-ass boots. 32 makes some good park oriented boots, or Burton Sabbaths.

being so close to the 06 season i would wait for all of the new stuff to come out...ive riden some 06 boards at demos this year...and honestly...i know lots of people think "buying burton is buing a name" but their boards felt awesome...i also think capita did a good job too...of course all of the boards had no graphics cause they dont want to ruin the surprise...but if i had to recommend one based soley on feel then id say the burton Blunt...i rode it in a 155 i think...i usually ride a 160-157 but even being a little small it felt better than the board i have now...i have no idea about bindings though...just remember feel over look...but some bad ass graphics always help the purchase :D

Even though you could wait to buy the new stuff, you'll get last season's stuff at a better price.

You're from New York so I take it you ride on ice alot. Try a Lib Tech Magne-Traction before you buy anything. You will not be disappointed.

The Anthem is good, but I don't think it's freestyle oriented enough for you. You may want to check out something like a Ride Theory or a K2 Darkstar. That is unless you want a twin-tip.

The majority of snowboards are directional. This means that they are constructed to go one way much like traditional skis. It doesn't mean that you can't ride it switch, it just means that the nose and tail are going to have different flex characteristics. A twin-tip is designed so that the nose and tail are identical. It makes riding switch and all sorts of tricks a lot easier, but you ultimately sacrifice things like speed, edge hold, and responsiveness so they are less desired if you do a lot of free-riding.

Directional boards are fine for almost anyone. A twin may not be bad if you were looking for a second board that would be only for park & pipe. But I wouldn't want to ride one all the time. Most companies only have 1 or 2 true twins in there lines. Lots of people think that they want one but don't like them when they get one.
