so i'm planning a trip next year to either the canyons or park city? what are some good places to stay cheap near there, for like 3-4 days. and which one should i pick, park or canyons?

Id say stay at the marriot at pcmr (park city mountain resort). And plus the park city resort is wayy better i think. The only time the canyons is ever good is when there is fresh snow, otherwise i dont like it.

its not bad really. The only lift that ive been crowded on was the three kings lift on a saturday. But if you got to park city buy like a 5 day pass and get fast tracks with it. Fast tracks let you cut the whole line pretty much. But during the week its barely anyone.

The Canyons is way bigger than the PCMR and blows it away for pow turns and freeriding. The Canyons also gets 50% less customers so you don't have the long lines or gapers clogging the trails like PCMR. PMCR has the dope ass parks but The Canyons has stepped it up over the years. I have both a PCMR and Canyons pass, I think I've ridden PCMR like 10-15 days while I've ridden Canyons at least 50.

The canyons got a new park manager and now their park is 10x sicker than it was before, so it's not PCMR but you don't have hundreds of people in it. The Canyons also has a lot of fun terrain (there certainly are flat areas, what mountain doesn't have 'em)..fun trees, fun lips off the sides of trails, long runs and the natural halfpipes are pretty fun too. Oh and what time of the year are you going?

i have a pass to the canyons and i am really impressed with it.
i'd say go there, less busy, and not all the rich people and tourists in one pieces haha

the canyons looked good too. I dont think you'll be disapointed either way. Its amazing out there, the mountians are beautiful. At the end of the day we were at the top of the mountian, and it took us half an hour to ride back down....it was like out of body expierence amazing.

Neither. Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons. 200 plus more inches of snow, not the huge crowds, better prices for hotels and lift passes. Big Cottonwood has Brighton and Solitude resorts, Little Cottonwood has Snowbird. Check them out.
