That no late fee thing is a big rip off, I was reading an advertisement and read the fine print and heres what it said.

Once the movie has been rented it has 7 days(1 after rental) And you don't have it back, blockbuster will charge your account and it will be charged the amount of movie onto your account, so say you got some good movie it was 4 bux to rent and you turn it in late,

22 dollars cost of movie
minus the renting fee you already payed
18=dollars of what you are going to pay after you go back to blockbuster

Just thought i'd warn you, don't bother looking at their website, they didn't post the fine print their. I got mine from an advertisement in the mail.

just wanted to save ur guys ass..... Later.

this is a strange topic hehe...... Anyway the way it works is you rent movies if you dont bring it back they charge you for the movie. Here is a quote straight from blockbuster.....

However, if a member chooses to keep a rental item more than a week after the end of the rental period, Blockbuster will automatically convert the rental to a sale on the eight (8th) day after the end of the rental period. Blockbuster will charge the membership account the selling price for the item in effect at the time of the rental. The selling price will be discounted by the amount of the initial rental fee paid by the member at the time of rental. If the member returns the item within 30 days of the sale date, Blockbuster will credit back to the membership account the amount previously charged to the member’s account or the member’s credit card, as applicable, for the selling price of the item, but the member will be charged a minimal restocking fee.

yea i read the fine print on that too. there's no late fee but instead of late fees, you're pretty much buying the movie off of them. thats probably their way of eliminating inventory that piles up from "guarenteed in stock" movies who knows

If you ask them they'll tell you. I go there a lot with my gf and I was suspicous so I asked thats why they say the whole. "a day or two" the 3rd day will cost you the dvd though.

Blockbuster online is going to be taking alot of buisness back from Netflix. Netflix is 17.95 per month for 3 movies out and blockbuster is 14.95. A $3 difference, plus in addition to that you get 2 free in-store rentals per month with BB online. I never was a fan of blockbuster but I think they finaly may be doing something right.

in canada once they charge you th cost of the movie they will for $1.80 restocking fee and wave the cost of the movie ... so you can have a movie for 2 months and return it with a fee of $1.80can .... YAH

That restocking fee is Bull****. Isn't it the employees job to "restock" the shelves with movies everytime one comes in?

I will take a restocking fee over a late fee any day...

ROFLMAO.
Some ppl i knew ment to England years ago. They went to a local video store. THere was an Indian dude working behind the counters. He said "dont go to blockbuster" and then ranted for ages about how he was 10 cents cheaper or something. A bit random but the topic reminded me of it.

haha nice, yeah I guess everyone has a reason. I rent videos online though, much easier since I am lazy.
