how can I make the emails stop coming to my box every time there's a new post? I'm sorry, but I don't know how to make 'em stop.

Click Profile, then Profile agin from the tabs... then Profile Settings, then NOtifications... Say No to Always notify me of replies


Also, at the bottom of your posts, you see a clock. If it's orange it means you're watching the topic, meaning it will send you notifications. So you can turn them off for individual topics.
