Alright so, I don't know about the gyms that you guys go to, but they don't really play much for the motivation music style that I enjoy. So I bring my IPod Nano when I go. Anyway, what kind of artists do you guys listen to when you work out? This month I have:
- Sevendust
- All Out War
- Paul Van Dyk (good treadmill and bike music for me)
- Sick of it All
and some others that I cant remember.

for work out i just put it on shuffle and skip songs here and there...but for a pump up song before a race/competition the new NIN single survivalism is schweet...
Oh and The Fragile album from NIN is good to listen to...at least I think so...2 discs with good beats throughout....
oh have you checked out the new sevendust album? if so, any good?

I haven't worked out since..... the psp came out and the beginning of the season, but as for playlist... any ASOT episode will do.
Or for instance this is my personal top of the line ultimate kick ass of the moment playlist (in shuffle mode):
Carl B feat Breaking Benjamin The Diary of Jane (Sean Tyas Remix)
Armin Van Buuren - Control Freak (Sander Van Dorm mix)
Armin Van Buuren - Spiral
Armin Van Buuren - Sahara
Kyau & Albert - Falling Anywhere (rework)
Outwork feat. Mr Gee - Electro (Electro Mix)
*classic* Kuffdam & Plant - Summer Dream ( Paul Van Dyk mix)
Anything produced by Dogzilla
*classic* Marco V - Automanual (Sensation White 2004 Edition)
Marco V - More than a life away (Sensation White 2006 Edition)
and the Miami Sound

Don't associate Opeth or In Flames with hardcore. They couldn't be further from plus it's bad form.

They're both melodic death, which is a proper form of metal unlike hardcore.

For running, I've come to enjoy the Nike one you can get from the iTunes store by Crystal Method. 45 minutes with enough variety to keep you interested, and without any interruptions to distract you. For general working out, I just put my iPod on shuffle for electronic/house music - which conveniently enough is what I snowboard to also.

I have a variety of metal that gets me pumped when I'm lifting. Usually it's a mix of As I Lay Dying, Killswitch Engage, Lamb of God, and A Life Once Lost. Occasionally I'll throw in All That Remains, Unearth, or Misery Signals.

Choking Victim and Leftover Crack always gets me pumped. Rancid is a good band to listen to too, especially their self-titled album from 2000.
