Eliza, Harrisonburg isn't too far away from some riding. Granted it's some of the worse in the EC, but none the less, it's boarding. The place that's nearest is Wintergreen. Massanutten is near by too, but it really sucks. Then there's Snowshoe in West Virginia. Snowshoe is really good, and best place in the region, IMO. Where are you going for college, UVA (University of Virginia)? I'm gonna be not too far away at Radford Univeristy (about 10 minutes away from Virginia Tech), we should maybe meet up sometime next season and shred.

yeah if you are coming out here you definitely want to be in the west.
once you get to virginia i think you'll realize that it's not a prime snowboarding location.
and i don't see how you're going to go to school in virginia and work in colorado. they're like 3200 kilometers apart. and california is even farther than.
will be workin during break....the uni holidays for aust r different, therefore will have more time to spend in the US once i finish a semester over there

Pretty much every college in VA has a Snowboard Club. You should check into it. I don't know of all the places they go, but I know that they ofcoarse go to the local places, and other places throughout the States. It'd probably be worth while. I'm gonna join the Snowboard Club at Radford University. That way you'll be able to get a good feel of snowboarding throughout the EC and US.
