Dude if you wanna work on your balance and you take the train or live near a subway. ( i think the subway works better than the railroad) stand goofy or regular or switch it up. stand as if your on your board goin the way the train is goin. don't hold on to anything and just try not to fall over from the rockin. People look at me like i'm crazy. but hey if your gonna see somethin weird like that, It's more commonplace to see it in NYC. If you do it right you really feel the burn in your legs after a while. Plus the ride is usually always different due to different traffic situations on the subway lines. also different trains have different characteristics of rockin. Seriously at one point on the queens bound E train if you can remain standing with out holding on.(when it really whips you) you have good balance. Dude at the point when the train whips you, you see everbody standing take a step to catch their balance.

Well thats what i do for fun during my 2 hour commute to and from work.

^ I used to do that too when I had to take the L every day. It's actually kind of fun.

Wow, I used to do this when I was little. Now that I'm an "adult" I forgot all about it.

i kinda sorta do that when i'm on BART (the bay area "train" system) going to/from work. although i'm usually holding on to something, because there are some points where it rocks around so much you have to... and i'm a big wuss and don't like falling on crackheads.
