Anyone been to Pucon Chile???

I'm going to be going to Chile this summer (http://iride.shobek.com/2007/06/01/pucon-bound-snowboarding-in-chile/). Has anyone ever been to Pucon? Can you tell me anything about it? I've read stuff online, but there's surprisingly little information. I did manage to find a handful of short vids on youtube.

Are you planning this trip yourself or did you go through a company?

My old roomate was from Santiago and runs a BC ski/snowboard company down there.

Man, that'd be awsome to go to Chile. I had a teacher who went to Chile. Not to snowobard or ski, but just as an adventure, and he said that the people there are great, and treat you with all the hospitality one could dream of.

I was supposed to be going on a trip to Valle Nevado but the group I was going with had poor planning and it fell through. I forgot waht the organization's name was, but you could basically pair any of your hobbies (skiing, snowboarding, hiking, rafting, etc...) with learning spanish and get anywhere from like a week to a month there and have fun and take a one hour spanish class everyday, but since this would have been the first year for snowboarding they had litle to nothing setup and it fell through. Looks like no summer riding for me......


But I'm sure your trip will be sick as hell.

Just asking because if you book trips to Chile through one of the other places all they do is take you to Argentina to mellower terrain that costs them less to ride and charges you more.
