So I tore my ACL wakeboarding on May 23. The Doc says that I need surgery and I was just wondering if anyone has torn theirs and how long it took before they could get back to snowboarding...I'm planning on getting the surgery within the next month or so and I was hoping I would be able to ride again this winter.

What do you think?

rest up and you should be fine by the time winter rolls around

do your rehab religously, no matter how annoying or useless it may seem. otherwise your knee will never get back up to 100%

I tore my Acl, Mcl and Pcl in my left knee and my Acl in my right knee..... Took me 6 weeks till I was able to move around at my normal pace and 6 months before I was back to where I was before the injury. Are they setting you up with tendons and ligaments from a cadaver? Its really strange to think you got parts from a dead guy....... Make sure they use ultrasound during rehab and stick to your rehab routine. Just take it easy this season to let your injuries totally heal.....
