I'm looking to make a day trip with my bro (a noob), but I'm looking for the cheapest mountain/pass in the pokes or South NY. I'm not going for an epic ride, for me it'll just be getting back into the swing of things. I just don't want ice (which I know is hard NOT to find in the pokes :-P).

I lived in the Pocono's about 10 years ago and worked at Big Boulder and Jack Frost. I also had a chance to ride at Hunter Mountain in New York. I am moving back from California, where my local resort is made fun of for being small as the vertical drop is only 1100 feet. The peak is at 8200...
