Description: Copy- Pasted from site:

Ski Beech Mountain Resort is a total winter experience!
With excellent skiing (day or night), and a charming Alpine Village filled with intriguing shops, tempting restaurants and more, you'll find that Ski Beech offers a winter wonderland of fun and activities for all members of your family or group!

Located high in the mountains of Western North Carolina, in the Town of Beech Mountain, since 1967 Ski Beech redefines southern skiing as the highest ski resort in Eastern North America, at 5506 ft. above sea level.

My Opinion:

Beech Mtn is one of my favorite resorts in NC. The majority of NC's resorts are nearly all centrally located (5 out of 7 of them are within about 10 minutes from each other) which makes it hard to choose where to go sometimes. Beech has much longer runs than the other resorts and more of them too. The only other mtn with more runs is Sugar which is also a good choice but they have the highest rates of any local mountain.
The snow quality is usually beter than other NC mountains because of the higher altitude, but also due to the altitude, wind becomes a large problem. This can sometimes create a hard sheet of ice on the top of the snow. This can be a bitch when falling cause you have to break through the ice pack first. The park at Beech is not all it could be, but if park's your thing than another NC mountain like Appalachian might be better, or you could grab a shovel and make things your way. There is a pip at beech but it was nearly non-existant this past year. All in all I would rate Beech as a 7 out of 10. It has good snow, open terrain, a mediocre park, reasonable prices compared to other mtns, less crowded, and just a good place to ride.

My .02 cents on where I was riding the most last season.

Negative aspects of the product (cons): name it...and by that i mean it probaby doesnt have it

this place is weak sauce...if youre flying or driving there you must be kidding yourself.

you could take that money and add not that much to it really, and go somewhere else way more kickass out west.
